Are You A Climate Change Denier?
If "YES" then this post is for you!

Quoted Text
~ Do you deny Climate Change?
~ Do you think the Illuminati are plotting a New World Order?
~ Do you believe that there are top-secret planes spraying chemicals into the atmosphere in
order to use the HAARP program for world domination?
If you believe one of these, you likely believe them all, new research finds.

The next issue of Psychological Science includes a piece on how the disbelief of climate change
is found among the same people who also believe other conspiracy theories.
The fact that climate change is backed by thousands of peer-reviewed research papers with
gigabytes upon gigabytes of data to back it up means nothing to them. They put it with
conspiracies that have no credible evidence, many times with only some blogger or YouTube
video proclaiming it as true.

What the researchers did was to survey the readers of eight websites discussing climate change.
The questionnaire was taken by a wide variety of readers, with over 1000 people returning
their survey. What their research uncovered was that those who disbelieved in climate change
being human-caused also were likely to endorse conspiracy theories as well as support laissez-faire
free-market economic concepts.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

If you live within 300 miles of the equator, you don't believe in climate change.

I totally believe in climate change because I witness it every three months.

BoxofCrap like Gore, Obama, Tonko and all the others who shill for the extremist environmentalists like to distort and twist the what opponents are saying on the issue.
The earth's climate has changed over centuries and millenia and eons.  There have been patterns of change all throughout recorded history and certainly for long before that.  It will continue to change in the future.  The actual question is: how much do impact do humans have on these patterns and changes?

EXACTLY --- and why is the Obama administration spending billions to rebuild on the barrier islands of New Jersey and New York after Hurricane Sandy --- they say that the oceans are rising --- so it doesn't make sense to rebuild on islands that will be gone.   If anything, they should be relocating to higher ground.

HEAT WAVE HIGHLIGHTS
Quoted Text

Temperatures in the Northeast are 5 to 10 degrees above normal, with New York City
experiencing the highest above-normal temperatures of any place in the country. The
hottest summer in U.S. history — an average 73.83 degrees for the season — occurred
during the Dust Bowl in 1936. The 2011 and 2012 summers tied for second hottest but
were only one-tenth of a degree cooler than the record.

Quoted Text
While the Northeast is burning up, Texas and Oklahoma recorded their all-time lowest
temperatures for July 15. And in parts of Alaska, the readings were warmer Monday than parts
of Texas. Alaska's eastern interior was in the low 80s, while Abeline, Texas, recorded a cool
68 degrees.

It’s Dueling Dual Jet Streams That Are Causing All This Weird Weather

Dual Jet Streams Image Credit: NOAA ESRL PSD

How ’bout that weather we’ve been having? The northern hemisphere has had some very strange atmospheric occurrences in the past month.

As Popular Mechanics’ John Galvin reports, parts of Alaska had temperatures of 94 degrees on June 17. That’s basically the same temperature it was in Miami that day. Around the same time, parts of Canada and Europe were struggling with extreme flooding, forcing evacuations and devastating entire cities.

The flooding in Europe has already caused an estimated $3.93 billion to $7.59 billion in damage, and is still going on.  In Canada, experts anticipate that because of the damage, the country’s GDP growth will take a hit.

Even Alaska’s warm temperatures have consequences, with localized flooding and fire warnings going into effect.

Galvin spoke to John Nielsen-Gammon, a professor of atmospheric science at Texas A&M University, who explained that all of these strange and damaging weather events had the same root cause, a rare instance of two jet streams appearing in the northern hemisphere in the summertime. A jet stream, according to NOAA, is “a narrow band of strong wind in the upper atmosphere.”

Usually, there is only one jet stream during the warmer months—the dual jet streams only show up during the summer about once every decade. Currently, there is a small jet stream circling the Arctic, and another, larger one cutting across North America and Europe.

From Popular Mechanics:

With a typical jet stream, you see colder temperatures north of them, and warmer temperatures south of them. With two streams, the same effect is appearing, but in weird ways. McGrath is located just south of the curious Arctic jet stream—explaining those high temps—and Calgary is located just north of the central jet stream.

“The floods in Calgary come from all the moisture that’s being channeled up from the Gulf of Mexico,” Nielsen-Gammon says. “In Europe the flooding is being fed from moisture being pulled out of the Mediterranean. It’s the same phenomenon.” The two jet streams have formed weather barriers that are locking rain and heat in place.

Climate Change Deniers ‘Ignorant, Out Of Touch, Or Crazy’

Quoted Text
The bipartisan poll conducted for the League of Conservation Voters found solid 80%
support among under-35 voters for Barack Obama’s climate change plan – and majority
support even among those who oppose the president.

On the flip side the poll found three-quarters of voters, or 73%, would oppose members
of Congress who stood in the way of Obama’s climate action plan…

Some 55% of Republicans in the House of Representatives and 65% of those in the Senate
reject the science behind climate change or oppose action on climate change, according
to an analysis by the Centre for American Progress.

Quoting a Boxy hypocrisy reply.

Boxy always rails about how terribad 'Fox News' is. Yet when it fits his Democratic daily assigned agenda sheet, Fox News all of a sudden becomes a credible organization and is no longer called 'Fox Snooze.'

Oh, and I would seriously take these 'bipartisan' polls with a HUGE grain of salt, since the 'League of Conservation Voters' and the 'Centre for American Progress' are both very far left organizations and both have received substantial contributions or outright funding from the Soros family.

FoxSnooze is CRAP!  But there is a large contingent of posters on this board who believe
that FoxSnooze reports actual news!  ( I know, hard to believe that anyone is that gullible
but they do believe it as a credible source). For their benefit I post the Fox link.

The poll was of people under 35 years old.  Those were the people indoctrinated in the 90's through public indoctrination and propaganda.  Of course they are going to poll that way.  The public school system beat it into their soft heads unchallenged.

Well obviously you must think that Fox News is credible, otherwise you would have used the Guardian link instead.
It's really that simple.

In any event, please continue to post these 'non-partisan/bipartisan' polls run by Soros funded, far leftist organizations.

We have fun mocking them.

I'm in that group but I also remember them telling me how the earth was going into a 2nd ice age and that to had scientist backing the theories. Then came the global warming bs which went against everything they were so sure of before, maybe that is why I never took school to seriously. The more I learned outside of school the more I realized how useless it really was.
