I don't have a version. I certainly don't believe the "official" version. Especially after still being in Afghanistan 12 years later. Bin Ladens allegedly dead and the Taliban is gone, the two main reasons given for the invasion. So there is lie one and two. Still they're dumping billions of dollars into one of the poorest nations on earth. After Vietnam, I didn't think there could have been a poorer nation of farmers that was such a threat to the American people. Who do we invade next, Sierra Leone? They are pretty poor.

Cicero. If you really want to discuss Vietnam or the Vietnam war, why don't you do just that? Why don't you open your own thread about Vietnam, then we all can discuss it freely. This thread has as it's subject: "Journalist dead at 33!!!" and in no way is connected to Vietnam or it's war.

Of course! As you eloquently stated below, there were less invasive and cost effective ways to eliminate the person or persons the government claim responsible for 9-11. Were they too stupid to see the obvious, or was this massive multi nation invasion planned in advance? There response was a multi-nation invasion and a decade of drone strikes in 7 nations, and trillions of dollars spent.

I bring it up because it amazes me that the generation of counter culture and anti war that lived through the lying cheating government of the 60's and 70's, from the JFK assassination, the MLK assassination, to Kent State, to Nixon's watergate, to 58k Americans dead in a senseless war, they are now quick to accept every lie fed to them.
