Ms. Stapleton was one of the best.  She did a great performance as Eleanor Roosevelt a number of years ago.

Thanks for that clip.  I am pretty sure that this was filmed at Val Kill which Eleanor Roosevelt's home in Hyde Park.  Everyone (including libertarians and conservatives) should visit Val Kill and Top Cottage if they are in the Hyde park area.  I admire FDR's and Eleanor's fighting spirit (his overcoming polio - hers overcoming the obstacles of being a woman in the early 20th century when women weren't expected or "allowed" to dare to accomplish much).

Back to Jean Stapleton - she was marvelous as Edith Bunker but she did so many other roles.  One of the last great actor/actresses of that era.  Sorry to say, we don't have that caliber of acting today.
