When one of his kids is in a car accident, who pays???
THE REST OF US WHO DO HAVE HEALTH CARE INSURANCE... YEA PEOP0LE LIKE CICERO!
Taxpayers pay for his kids medical bills as the small businessman goes out of business trying
to pay his medical bills.

When is my kid getting into a car accident?  It's far more likely you will have a stroke or heart attack, or fall down the stairs.  Who is paying for your medical bills?  Oh yeah, my kid, and my kid has to pay a higher premium so you don't have to pay a higher premium that you would otherwise have to, since you are a statistical higher risk.

You always think you deserve a break, whether it's your veterans exemption or subsidized health insurance.  The disgusting part is, you want my kids to pay for it.

Unfortunately your analogy isn't statistically proven.  Just ask yourself this question...How many people under 35 do YOU know that are paralyzed or require medical maintenance care for an injury do to reckless behavior.  Now ask yourself how many people over 55 that you know are being treated for cancer, heart disease, had triple bypass surgery, are diabetic, have arthritis?  All of which are very expensive to treat.  I would almost bet somebody in your family at that age is being treated for these chronic illnesses, and the odds of somebody under 35 is nearly zero.

Don't take a news story about a car accident and think it is causes the same amount of financial stress to the medical system.  Go sit down with a life insurance agent and have them quote you a price for $100k policy for a 18 year old vs a 50 year old on high blood pressure medication.  You will get two very different numbers.  There is a reason for that.

~One day the 18 year old will be the 55 year old, and the system will provide health care for
him and all Americans throughout their life.

~To Somebody's point:
The risk of dying for teenagers 12-19 years:

Although this chart depicts 'death rate' we can assume that many will require extensive (and expensive)
medical care before their death.
The number who are only injured would likely be much higher than the numbers in the chart.
The leading cause of death for teens:

~And one final point that Cicero never addresses:
Any uninsured person ( or underinsured person who cheaped out with his sub standard insurance
policy) who is in critical need of care, will be treated in an ER at THE TAXPAYERS EXPENSE!.
Cissy constantly whines about paying for those who don't want coverage... when they are injured
WE PAY THE BILL.

LMAO!!!  The best part of my "VETERANS EXEMPTION" used to be that I was recognized for my service
to my country...
But now...
The best part of my "VETERANS EXEMPTION" is knowing that every day, Cicero can't help but mention
it as he seethes in anger!

I've had good health care coverage for most of my life, and I've paid the premiums for that coverage
from a private provider (except for my time in the Marines).
I will gain almost nothing personally from ObamaCare.  But my kids and my grandkids and yes
even YOUR KIDS CICERO, will gain from universal health care.

Even if you don't care enough about your kids to provide for their future health care needs,
I do care!

Yes, it's the uninsured 12-19 year olds filling up the Emergency Rooms and the ICU's and driving up medical costs.  Those DAMN KIDS!  Ridiculous.

Hey, here's an idea box.  Older drivers should be mandated to pay a higher premium and higher deductible and take out $100K in liability on their auto insurance to help cover the cost of these young children who aren't even legally old enough to work.  Instead of your auto insurance going down as you get older, as your driving record is better and your risk goes down,I think your premium should go up.  You know, to make it more accessible for those poor young victims of auto accidents.

I just like pointing out your greediness.  Your parents generation that fought in WWII didn't go to the government and cry for a tax exemption when they returned home.  Maybe that's because they served without expectations of special treatment.

OMG!  Cissy!  YOU ARE SO WELL UNINFORMED!!!

Cicero.  As I advised you many times before... to keep from making such a fool of yourself
while posting, you really should get the FACTS before you post!

OMG!  This IS FUNNY!!!

OK, cissy... when I first returned from Vietnam many older vets who had fought in WW2 were
getting not just a mere 10 or 15 or even 25% exemption... MANY PAID VERY LITTLE TAX AT ALL!
There exemption was based on what was then called "mustering out pay".  If when you left the
service you received $10,000 in pay, you could use that amount for your exemption every year
on your property tax.  In the 1940's & 50's, that could pay 100% of your property tax bill!!!

WW 2 vets also received the GI Bill for education & room & board fees that would often cover
most or all of their college costs.

Thanks for your outrageous statements Cissy... YA MADE MY DAY!!!
nt.

That's great!!!  Keep on paying for your premiums.  Don't go dragging young healthy people into your risk pool by force, just so your premiums stay low.

I've willingly paid for my insurance too.  I chose the coverage based on my lifestyle and plans.  Didn't pay for coverage I didn't need and would never used.

But, now, you want to sell your kids to corporate insurance companies and threaten them with a penalty, so your premiums are more affordable, while a majority of children will pay for insurance they will most likely never use.  And they will pay for this insurance or penalty as they enter the workforce at the bottom of the ladder, and have more money sucked out of their pockets, preventing them from investing in their own future, and careers.

What a sick sick generation to do this to their own children.

Actually, I support Single Payer Option for ObamaCare, which I would hope is not too far in the
future.
Sort of a Medicare type plan for all Americans to buy health care insurance!

It was originally proposed in ObamaCare but negotiated out of the plan by the GOP.

coalescing around the mandate, which polling showed to be one of the legislation’s least popular
elements. In December, 2009, in a vote on the bill, every Senate Republican voted to call the
individual mandate “unconstitutional.”

In 2014 the truth will come out how popular the individual mandate and Obamacare really are.

Look at that front row parking, I noticed how it didn't say disabled veterans parking. I would assume those spots would be better suited for the handicapped or elderly that may need them. I bet box would steal that place in a heartbeat and make a elderly women park 16 spots down because she isn't "special" enough to have reserved spots. Screw everyone else I got mine right box
