Again......it's all smoke and mirrors. The government knows right where this is going to end up. They aren't that stupid when it comes to manipulation and corruption and deception. This health insurance roll out was created to fail.....WHY?........so the sheople will swallow the future one payer system and like it. Government WILL 100% subsidize health insurance!!

This created corrupt road was needed to accomplish the end result....a one payer government subsidized taxpaid system....and the corporate insurance companies will be the administrators.....a win-win for GOV ALMIGHTY and the CORPORATE INSURANCE COMPANIES. SUCCESS!!

Insurance stocks jump on latest Obamacare news



(MoneyWatch) Healthcare stocks jumped on news that President Obama was allowing insurers to reinstate cancelled policies that did not meet the mandates of the new healthcare law, popularly dubbed Obamacare. CBS News estimates that more than 4.8 million individual health care policies have been cancelled because they do not include a variety of coverages, including maternity, mental health and pediatric dentistry, which are mandated by the new law.

Obama, who famously promised that no one who liked their policy would have to change it, Thursday bowed to pressure from both consumers and legislators that he keep that promise -- at least for this year. In a televised announcement, he said he would allow insurers to maintain their non-conforming policies through 2014, giving them the ability to contact cancelled customers with a reinstatement.

Health stocks jumped on the news. Aetna (AET) shares jumped 1.74 percent Thursday; Wellpoint (WLP) was up 1.67 percent; WellCare Health (WCG) was up nearly 3 percent. UnitedHealth Group (UNH) was up more modestly -- 0.4 percent, which more closely mirrored the performance of the overall market.

However, health care stocks haven't been slow to move. Since the Affordable Care Act (ACA) was signed into law in 2010, health care stocks have outperformed the S&P 500. Using the SPRD Health Care ETF (the XLV) as a measure, health care companies have gained nearly 64% since March 23, 2010. That a little bit better than the S&P 500's 52% rise. Since the start of 2013, health care companies are up 32%, about 9% better than the S&P 500 Index.

More than a third of the XLV is made up of four companies: Johnson & Johnson, Pfizer, Merck, and Gilead. They're all up since 2010 but biotech Gilead is has nearly tripled since that time, nearly doubling in 2013 alone. The company hit its all-time high on Wednesday.
