Quoted from CICERO

Ohhhh!  I thought you were discussing foreign policy, and how presidents responded to illegally annexing land and forcing people to live under the aggressors laws.

Of course any mention of Israel annexing land would be hating Jews to you, because the people that live on the land that Israel annexed are not nearly as important as those in Georgia and Crimea.

How compassionate of you Buck to be soooo concerned about illegal annexation of land in Crimea.  At least you are consistent with your outrage on the topic.

I can only image your outrage to the US annexation of Hawaii in 1898.

Yup! You got me dead to rights Cicero.

Now...Can we get back to the thread at hand and thank the only POTUS that could make Carter look like Churchill

Catholic Nuns Back Obamacare Contraception Access

The National Coalition of American Nuns has announced their support for women’s right to access
contraceptives under the Affordable Care Act.

Quoted Text
“This has gotten out of hand,” said Sister Donna Quinn. “It isn't ‘faith and freedom’ when
reproductive autonomy isn’t extended by the Catholic Church to women. Now we have
other Christian religions seeing what the bishops are doing and saying we will do likewise.
It isn’t freedom when a woman can be held hostage by the owner of a business.”

LOL

Who? The National Coalition of American Nuns?

Oh right...

Desperate times call for desperate measures, and we should see Boxy (as well as all the other progressive collectivists) try and pass off unknown fringe groups as 'Mainstream' in order to try and defend 'Obamacare' as something that is good.

So...Who are 'The National Coalition of American Nuns' ?

Well, there isn't much on this fine organization.....I actually had to use Wiki.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Coalition_of_American_Nuns

Quoted Text
The National Coalition of American Nuns (NCAN), since its inception in 1969 has been an advocate for social and structural change inside and outside the Catholic Church. It is said to officially represent from 500 to 2,000 U.S. women religious. Members of the organization do not have to be nuns or even Catholics. The number of actual nuns in unknown but likely under 200.

Boxy's checklist of a mainstream Catholic organization:

500 - 2000 members.....Check!
Don't have to be a nun.....Check!
Don't even have to be Catholic.....Check! (This was a huge one)
Maybe 200 nuns?.....Well, Check! Check! Check!

And how about their official website!.....It's a page frozen in time!

http://www.ncan.us/

I'll tell you that when I finally finish my time machine, I'm so going to attend that 40th Anniversary Celebration on September 26, 2009,  9:00 a.m.– 3:00 p.m to talk about "Worker Justice"

Wait..."Worker Justice"...Isn't that a progressive cause?

How about actual 'experts' on birth control... the Americans who use them.  What do they think?

Fully 93% of women voters favor the requirement that health plans cover preventive health services
with no additional copays, including:
o 96% of Democrats
o 95% of independents
o 87% of Republicans.

And more than four in five (81%) women voters agree with the policy that prescription birth control
should be covered as a preventive health service with no additional copay, including:
o 92% of Democrats
o 83% of independents
o 63% of Republicans
o 79% of Catholics

From GALLUP 2012

~ Americans, Including Catholics, Say Birth Control Is Morally OK ~
Birth control has the broadest acceptance among 18 behaviors
Eighty-two percent of U.S. Catholics say birth control is morally acceptable, nearing the
89% of all Americans and 90% of non-Catholics who agree. The level of acceptability on
this issue is far greater than that of the other 17 issues Gallup asked about this year.

they don't think...they just want...which is ok too.....and chemical birth control isn't that safe....

a preventative health service....that's an interesting way to label the beginning of life whether it be deformed/retarded
unwanted/wanted/healthy/sick etc etc......

preventative health, I thought that was only for disease prevention....hhhhmmmmm

if you don't want to eat right maybe we all need 'eat control'?????

it's just interesting how the social psyche can get 'normalized' based on another human being's definition from another
'expert think tank'.....

priceless....

But what does this have to do with Catholic nuns and their support of Obamacare?

Oh right, nothing. You post this, in a pathetic attempt to save face, because you got caught (again) posting bullshit.

Keep trying.

Thank You America (and Catholic Nuns) for your support of ObamaCare!!!
Even Catholics and Republicans support the Birth Control mandate in ObamaCare:

Fully 93% of women voters favor the requirement that health plans cover preventive health services
with no additional copays, including:
o 96% of Democrats
o 95% of independents
o 87% of Republicans.
AND INCLUDED IN THAT "PREVENTIVE HEALTH SERVICES"
And more than four in five (81%) women voters agree with the policy that prescription birth control
should be covered as a preventive health service with no additional copay, including:
o 92% of Democrats
o 83% of independents
o 63% of Republicans
o 79% of Catholics

Hope this answers your question!

ObamaCare a Success!

Quoted Text
More than 5 million Americans have signed up for coverage through federal and state
marketplaces; millions have been determined eligible for Medicaid or the Children’s Health
Insurance Program; and 3 million young adults gained insurance through their parents’ coverage.

At the same time, costs are coming down. The Congressional Budget Office found the health
care law is making significant contributions to fiscal responsibility. The CBO’s most recent estimates
show that repealing the law would actually increase deficits by $1.7 trillion over the next 20 years.
Moreover, average premiums for coverage through the marketplaces are about 15 percent lower
than the CBO projected.

There’s more good news when it comes to health care and Medicare spending. The rate of increase
in real health spending per person is at its lowest point in 50 years
and more than 3 percentage
points under the historical average, according to recent data. Growth in the average cost of care
for a person enrolled in Medicare is also at unusually low levels, and if that success is maintained,
it will translate into trillions in savings over the decades to come.
