During a House Judiciary Committee Hearing discussing the Pain Capable Unborn Child Protection Act (HR 1797) held on May 23, 2013,
Rep. Trent Franks (R-AZ) courageously displayed photos released by Operation Rescue depicting one aborted baby that was apparently killed after birth at a Houston, Texas, abortion clinic operated by Douglas Karpen.

Louie Gohmert Tells Woman She Should Have Carried Brain-Dead
Fetus To Term

At a congressional hearing Thursday on an abortion bill that would ban the procedure after 20
weeks of pregnancy, Rep. Louie Gohmert (R-Texas) told a female witness that she should have
carried her pregnancy to term even though doctors had discovered the fetus had no brain function.

The 20-week abortion ban in question, sponsored by Rep. Trent Franks  would prohibit women
from having abortions after 20 weeks, even in cases of rape, incest, when the mother's health
is in danger,
or when the fetus has a debilitating or fatal disability.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.
