The Police State - From day one the Income Tax was created to be used as a political class warfare weapon against the “evil” rich (the job creators). The tax would steal their money and re-distribute that wealth to buy the votes of those not paying the tax.

For the record, President Richard M. Nixon was NOT impeached. He resigned after the House Judiciary Committee had voted to send Articles of Impeachment to the House floor but before the House actually voted on them. So the FACT is that only two presidents have ever been impeached - both Democrats - Andrew Johnson (196 and Bill Blythe III (199. It looks like they may be joined pretty soon by a third Democrat.
Just some additional thoughts - Andrew Johnson was accused of breaking a law which was later determined to be unconstitutional and legal scholars question whether he actually broke the law as it was written. Richard Nixon's legal troubles were due in part because of a Kennedy family vendetta to destroy Nixon and because his White House Counsel, John Dean, ordered the Watergate break-in in an attempt to destroy evidence that his wife had been a high-priced hooker before their marriage. Bill Blythe III lied in his testimony to a Federal grand jury and of the three men discussed here deserved to be convicted and thrown out for his stupidity in lying and covering up. The one good thing about his being acquitted in the U.S. Senate -- it kept Al Gore out of the White House -- and for that we should get down on our knees and thank God every day.

WASHINGTON – A top IRS official in the division that reviews nonprofit groups will invoke the Fifth Amendment and refuse to answer questions before a House committee investigating the agency’s improper screening of conservative nonprofit groups.
Lois Lerner, the head of the exempt organizations division of the IRS, won’t answer questions about what she knew about the improper screening – or why she didn’t reveal it to Congress, according to a letter from her defense lawyer, William W. Taylor 3rd.
Lerner was scheduled to appear before the House Oversight committee Wednesday.
