Located where Stewarts is on Curry Rd. was Ed Kopper's Sunoco Station. I found this pic of the Bowen and Kopper Mustang. I recognized that this was taken at the Sunoco station. Ed was Bob Newberry's crew chief for some time.

Yeah, Koppers was the place for all the "motorheads" in the neighborhood. My brother was there quite a bit too. Kopper shared some garage space with Dennis Empie next to the El Gatto Lounge on B'way in the early '80's. One of my regrets was not buying a '53 Chevy they had there. Probably 1981 and they were asking $500.
