I have stood up for REAL American values many times in my life... suppressing women is not one of my values. If you don't believe in abortion, then don't have one. MOST AMERICANS don't support your view, even though many of them would never have an abortion themselves, they don't force their personal views on the rest of society. If you were actually against abortions and wanted to decrease the need for abortion in the US, you'd support programs like Planned Parenthood, who probably prevents more abortions in the United States than any other group.
WHO HAS ABORTIONS?

• Non-Hispanic white women account for 36% of abortions, non-Hispanic black women for 30%, Hispanic women for 25% and women of other races for 9%.
• Thirty-seven percent of women obtaining abortions identify as Protestant and 28% as Catholic.
• Women who have never married and are not cohabiting account for 45% of all abortions
• About 61% of abortions are obtained by women who have one or more children.
• Forty-two percent of women obtaining abortions have incomes below 100% of the federal poverty level ($10,830 for a single woman with no children).
• Twenty-seven percent of women obtaining abortions have incomes between 100–199% of the federal poverty level.
Planned Parenthood provides abortion services -- I would never give them any support, And I make no apologies for refusing to support them.
But I do support a number of organizations that work WITH expectant mothers to help them make a choice for LIFE by providing assistance during the pregnancy and afterwards.
