Again... attacking Carrey... not the issue. Must be the best they got is: "Jim Carrey's a jerk!"

I never much cared for him, but he IS still getting $20million per film. If that's failure, where do I sign up? Cons have a very myopic view of the world, and the US only represents 16% of the global film market. A movie that flops in the US, can very often be a blockbuster in international distribution, especially animated films, and action films.
Carrey's films have made close to $5billion world wide, and he has an acting range that far eclipses Charlton Heston. Charlton Heston was just not a very good actor. He, like John Wayne, were one trick ponies who would get hired on when they needed that particular persona, because as "actors", they couldn't pull off any other. Chameleons, they were not.
Heston was little more than a self aggrandizing, egotistical douche bag, who actually thought he WAS God.
This is too f'ing funny.... comparing movie grosses from actors whose "in their prime" movies were 50 years apart...what a tool!
Somehow when screen legends are listed, I'm betting John Wayne ranks a "bit" above Jim Carrey....lol

Still attacking the person, instead of speaking to the view they each were promoting.

LOL! You are criticizing people for attacking Carrey, when the whole video was Jim Carrey attacking Charlton Heston and his penis size in song. Yeah, really sophisticated stuff there. Sorry to lower this thread's high level of debate.
So to go back to the issue box-a-rox brought to the gun debate, ahhhhh...Charlton Heston's penis size, ummm, what do ya think?

Adjusted for inflation, John Wayne's grosses probably triple Carreys. The point I was addressing, was that Carrey's career is not yet over, which was what was suggested. It still doesn't change the fact that Marion Wayne was a talentless chicken hawk, who's gobbling Nixon's knob in hell at this very minute.
"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

Yes, adjusted for inflation, John Wayne's films, have made triple, or more, than Jim Carrey's. Every time you see a Wayne film, somebody, is getting paid, and they've been playing them ad nauseam for the last 70 years, WORLDWIDE, in 100 or so languages.
It still doesn't change the fact that he was a chicken hawk, and a terrible actor. He should burn in hell for "The Green Berets" alone. That film, however ridiculous, inspired many young men, to sacrifice their lives, and their health, to defend us from a mythical threat. Marion Wayne, was contemptible scum, as was Charlton Heston.
When I was in my 20s, I longed to meet them both, just to kick the living sh*t out of them. It wouldn't have been a problem.
Many people have suffered because they bought into those douchebag's bullsh*t.
Why would you have wanted to kick Charlton Heston's butt then? He was a big liberal. Marched with King. As to the film making and stardom and all that- John Wayne is the biggest film star ever. He made more than 170 movies. He was at his peak when the USA had half as many people, and theaters were only in the developed wolrd and there were no videos and DVDs to rent to the billions of turd worlders out there now. Heston starred in two of the top twenty grossing movies made. If you think he is a schitty actor you have never seen Will Penny. Nonetheless, comparing Jim Carrey as some sort of genius that will mark film history is of in itself absurd. He is a Canadian bigmouthed physical comic who has armed guards. I enjoy his roles and he is very entertaining, but as far as elevating him to some status among super stars just because his politics match yours and the real stars don't- well that is just odd. Anyone with any knowledge of cinema just roll their eyes at your assertions when viewed outside of a political lens.
As to the video, I imagine it is tough taking on a dead person.

To bad he has to resort to this because his career died over a decade ago, his last 4-5 movies were flops so this is all he could do to stay in the light
EXACTLY!!! He's a has been! desperate for sure!!
