I'm trying my hand at making beef jerky, anyone else here make it before? I bought a excalibur dehydrator awhile back and while I did fruits and veggies this is my first try at dried meat. I marinated the strips with a sesame garlic sauce and sprinkled some black pepper over the pieces, so far it is looking pretty good, it should be done in about 6 hours, I'll post some pics when done and give you a review on how they came out

I hope the jerky turns out better than your cupcakes!

1st batch a success, total weight just over 11.8 ounces and a cost of $6, not to shabby. I could do it for cheaper if I sliced the meat myself
Here it is in the dehydrator a couple hours in
Here is the finished product, taste awsome...a little to heavy on the pepper but oh well live and learn, filled up 2 mason jars. From what I read it should keep for 2 months but it will be gone I'm guessing in a couple days
