You don't like them because they actually have a job selling a product people want.  If the government forced everybody to buy a gun and subsidized them with tax dollars, they would be doing God's work.  Or if they were standing in a welfare line collecting their gubmint check you would worship them.

Cars vs Guns:

LMAO nice try again but we were talking about accidents in total not just deaths, the article you posted 0 people were killed in the shooting, I asked how many accidents on the road took place in that same day, the average is about 17,000 car accidents per day, key word here is "ACCIDENTS". Since one is made for killing and one is not you would have expecting gun deaths to be higher in all 50 states but again it is not, cars can be made safer, guns are made to be more lethal. By the way if the source is correct there is about 15,000 accidental shootings per year, compare that to the 17,000 car accidents per day, now guess what has been increasing in number, car accidents, guess which has been declining in years, gun violence, that's even with a record number of guns in the country.

You are the one who wanted to compare Guns to Cars... But only when the numbers fit your agenda.

OK.  How many "ACCIDENTAL" DISCHARGES of firearms every day?
How many Americans use a gun every day compared to how many use a car every day???
22 - 30% of American adults own guns but 70 - 80% own cars.
Most Americans use cars daily... over 75% use a car to get to work.
How many Americans use guns daily?

Almost all police officers will use a car daily, but more than half will never shoot their weapons in the line
of duty.

If you consider the number of HOURS spent using a car compared to the number of HOURS spent actually
using a gun... your comparison of cars/guns gets even more ridiculous.

If all cars suddenly disappeared from the USA, the country would immediately stop!
If all guns suddenly disappeared from the USA... most Americans wouldn't even notice!

accidental discharges of guns
accidental car incidents

vs

murder by gun
murder by car

saving ourselves from accidents shouldn't be a reason to cry to the government....eventually your parents say
'PULL UP YOUR BOOT STRAPS AND GET THE HELL OUT' because they have told you all they can and MAYBE instilled in you the
ability to teach yourself.

WAAAAAYYYYY to many failure to launch scenarios today....

1. college(gotta live home)
2. car insurance(gotta live home)
3. mom/dad don't like the neighbor you can afford rent in(gotta live home)
4. health insurance(gotta live home and be under their wing for ANOTHER 5 YEARS)

the system is pre-set to already feel like an idiot....so why bother holding up your own boot straps when the government/public
schools don't give the tools/incentive/foundation to be all you can be as an upright human....

"Your Typical Gun Hugger" is a White Guy!

Quoted Text
The Pew Research Center's latest survey on gun control this week provided a familiar profile
of the typical gun owner in the United States: adult, white and male. That profile differs greatly from
the makeup of the country, according to Pew. White men represent just a third of the U.S. population,
but about 60 percent of adults with guns in America today are white men.
This result suggests that the gun lobby’s present clout is unlikely to last much longer, as white people
as a percentage of America’s population are projected to decline rapidly in coming decades:

20 Million U.S. Women Put the ‘Pow’ in Empowerment by Owning a Gun

American women are obtaining firearms at record rates, according to a Gallup poll, and many of them feel safer for it.

February 22, 2013

Ashley may consider herself a “very girly girl,” but that didn’t stop her from buying a gun.

At 28 years old, the Oklahoman is an avid hunter. She has fond memories of hunting with her father, who taught her to “hunt, fish, and all those ‘boy’ things.” For her, gun ownership is connected to a warm sense of love and companionship with her dad.

Jen, 39, lives in Minnesota with her husband and son. Altogether, the family owns more than 40 firearms.

“I’m extremely liberal politically, but I have always been pro-gun,” the Army veteran tells TakePart. “Shooting is amazing, and women are naturally more gifted at it, in my opinion.” Jennifer’s husband bought her a Beretta .380 for a wedding present. She, too, first learned to shoot alongside her father.              http://www.takepart.com/article/2013/02/22/poll-finds-more-women-are-buying-guns

Gun huggers are dead box...90% of NRA members agree with gun control legislation.  Only 10% are gun huggers.  That's a statistical fact, that's why the gun control legislation sailed through the Senate.  Oh wait...

Home invasion ends with 2 dead -- the suspects

Blood stains are still fresh on an Oak Water Drive home’s welcome mat and the brick base of the door, next to some torn-off wood framing. A First Coast Crime Stoppers sign is planted on the lawn at the edge of the driveway.

Hours earlier three people attempted a home invasion, and two of them are dead.

It started about 11:20 p.m. Wednesday at the home next to Wonderwood Expressway. Several residents were watching a movie when multiple men forced their way through the front door, police said. The residents — police gave conflicting statements whether it was one or more — shot at them killing Aaron Antwan Harris, 24, of Arrowbrook Lane as the others fled.

About 7 a.m. Thursday another suspect was found dead near a trash bin in the parking lot of the Monument Road Animal Hospital parking lot two miles away, police said. His name has not been released.

Sgt. Shawn Coarsey said there is a good possibility he was dumped there as the others fled down Monument Road from the home-invasion-gone-bad.

“We don’t know for sure but that’s probably the case,” Coarsey said. “... It does appear he was probably dropped there by a vehicle. There is no trace of him walking there.”

No surveillance cameras from the animal hospital or a shopping center across the street apparently pointed in the direction of the body, so there is no video of what happened, Coarsey said.

No one could be reached at the house on Oak Water Drive later Thursday afternoon, and no one answered the door. Police have been called there at least four times since 2012, twice for evictions and the most recent in April for a theft.

Police did not name any of the residents involved as the investigation is still active.

Times-Union writer Clifford Davis contributed to this report.

Nothing sells to a Conservative like FEAR.  Their brains are predisposed to react to fear as it distorts
every part of their life.

Republican fear factor
Conservatives' paranoid alternate-reality can be explained by their brain chemistry -- and their media choices.

Quoted Text
Research suggests that conservatives are, on average, more susceptible to fear than those
who identify themselves as liberals. Looking at MRIs of a large sample of young adults last year,
researchers at University College London discovered that “greater conservatism was associated
with increased volume of the right amygdala” . The amygdala is an ancient brain structure
that’s activated during states of fear and anxiety. (The researchers also found that “greater
liberalism was associated with increased gray matter volume in the anterior cingulate cortex”
– a region in the brain that is believed to help people manage complexity.)

While Henry is cowering in fear at the prospect of a 'home invasion' liberals are enjoying life.
A Conservative Brain Defect... and IMO it's incurable.

I don't cower in fear because I am armed, I think of myself as prepared just in case. Those liberals who don't take responsibility seriously are usually the ones who end up dead or asking for government help when disaster does strike. Most people have a fire alarm just in case, most have a flashlight just in case, a gun is just that, just in case. I wonder if you are one of the people who runs out to walmarts to buy batteries and flashlights AFTER the power went out, while your out running through the rain or snow I'm at home nice and comfy

Liberals are enjoying life, true as most believe the government must take care of them.

Should be Liberals are TAKING lives.
