Jed Clampett??? NOPE. Just another 'anti govt' trouble maker!
Quoted Text
Dec. 13, 2012: Eustace Conway of Turtle Island was arrested yesterday afternoon after being served a warrant for second-degree trespassing on a neighbors land in the Triplett community of Watauga County.
Margaret A. Palms, who resides at 2473 Little Laurel Road, reported the offense to Watauga County Sheriff’s Office. The offense is dated Sunday, Dec. 9, and the warrant was issued on Monday, Dec. 10, according to records filed at the Watauga County Courthouse.
At 4:11 p.m. on Wednesday, Watauga County Sherriff’s Deputy S. Morrison served the warrant to Conway, who was then brought to the Watauga County Magistrates.
According to those records, Conway “unlawfully and willfully” entered the premises of Palms after being notified not to enter or remain on her property. (A Jed Clampett Home Invasion)
“He went and tied our gate shut, so we couldn’t get out and he put posters all over our gates, mailboxes, fences. Then he put big wooden barriers, so we couldn’t get out,” Palms said on Thursday morning. “He just kind of went nuts.”
Palms said that there is only one way to drive off of her property, which borders Conway’s Turtle Island Preserve, a 1,000-acre primitive living site and educational camp that has existed for 26 years and recently closed to the public.
Palms, an attorney and real estate agent in Boone, said that Conway disputes the property line. She has lived at 2473 Little Laurel Road for 18 years and said she used to be good friends with Conway until about five or six years ago.
“He comes trespassing from time to time, and we’ve asked him not to. He’s harassing us,” Palms said. “I just want him to stay away from our property.”
Reached on Thursday morning, Conway said he wished he could respond, but his lawyer advised him to not make any comments to the press regarding the trespassing charge.

Palms, an attorney and real estate agent in Boone. Could there be an ulterior motive behind getting the mountain man off that land?? |

What would be the "ulterior motive" for Conway to “unlawfully and willfully” entered the premises of Palms after being notified not to enter or remain on her property? What would you call it if your neighbor TRESSPASSED on your property, then ENTERED YOUR HOME WITH OUT PERMISSION? A home invasion? |

It figures that you would call this poor victim of government an anti government troublemaker. This is totally wrong. George Washington would be ashamed of what he created. |

The land should belong to "all" of us according to the socialists. Why won't you redistribute for this poor man with more need? |

Yea, this guy is a scam artist.

Eustace Conway is largely a fraud. While he may have practiced a low-impact, back-to-nature way of life as a teen (although when he drinks, Eustace admits many things that contradict this), Turtle Island today reflects very little of that. It is a non- productive "farm" covered by half-built cabins and strewn with rusty old cars and trailers (all exposed to the weather and leaking oil, coolant, etc. onto the soil). On any given day, you are more likely to hear the din of heavy deisel trucks and tractors, gas generators, electric power tools, chainsaws, and motorcycles than you are the natural sounds of the forest.
-Livestock routinely die from neglect at TI. I watched one goat and her kid die from a bacterial infection, despite the intern's repeated warnings to Eustace of its condition. A former volunteer told me that he saw 3 other goats die in a similar manner during the previous months.
--Eustace owns and regularly operates bulldozers, backhoes, and industrial-size dump trucks to clear forest for roads, buildings, and anything else he can think of.
--Eustace's home is surrounded by rusting trucks, cars, horse trailers, etc., most of which do not run or function at all. I counted 60 cars, not to mention the numerous trailers strewn throughout the surrounding forest. Piles of car batteries sit exposed and leaking in the forest amongst the cars behind the house.

Your not allowed to live outside the box in America anymore, if you don't fall in line they will come for you and soil your name and like seen before possibly kill you for being different. |

Henry got scammed and now he's trying to put a 'noble' face on it. This mountain man is just one more huxter with a gullible following. He's no more a 'mountain man' than I am... but he sure got a lot of mileage (and dollars) out of the hoax! |

Why do you care how he lives? They couldn't let this guy do what he loves to do without harassing him, |

Palms is a real estate agent and lawyer so maybe she would like to drive Conway off the land and get rid of what she thinks is a unfriendly neighbor. |
