Australia’s newly elected prime minister pulled no punches when giving his thoughts on the country’s carbon tax, which he says must be abolished as quickly as possible.

“The carbon tax is bad for the economy and it doesn’t do any good for the environment,” Abbott told The Washington Post. “Despite a carbon tax of $37 a ton by 2020, Australia’s domestic emissions were going up, not down. The carbon tax was basically socialism masquerading as environmentalism, and that’s why it’s going to get abolished.”

“If the Labor Party wants to give the people of Australia a Christmas present, they will vote to abolish the carbon tax. It was damaging the economy without helping the environment. It was a stupid tax. A misconceived tax,” Abbott added.

This kind of crosses threads but if you want to follow Austrailia, then check out their "Minimum Wage"

Yes, I totally see the relation between Australia's minimum wage and 'Climate Change'!

Oh wai...

No, this kind of has nothing at all to do with 'Climate Change' and everything to do with you trying to deflect from the thread subject.

So lets talk about this so called 44k year record...

But whatever, I showed it for what it was. Just another misleading, spun up, Chicken Little story based on falsified junk science

No, what you posted is a graph of the daily mean temperature of the Arctic area north of the
80th northern parallel.
Not 44,000 years of climate change.

A few weeks ago there was the story of the GE Nobel Prize winning scientist (For Box- that is a person with college degrees which you don't have) in the DG.

Here is his name. He is a local resident.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ivar_Giaever

Box knows more than fellow liberal Ivar, because Box hear politicos spout who he puts his full trust in as if it were a religion. Now Ivar is an atheist and Ivar is a democrap. But Ivar has a few degrees (Box, that is what you get when you have brains and the will to study and stay on track.) Ivar declares that the THEORY of G.W. (sounds like something we should call G. WORST) is akin to a RELIGION. It is not a a FACT established by science.

Now Ivar is a scientist that actually won something called the Nobel Prize which is a little bit like when the union calls you "slacker of the month" which is something Box and the cafone piccolo J.O. Box know something of...

Here is what Ivar says:

Quoted Text
Views on global warming

According to The Wall Street Journal, Giaever has described man-made global warming as a "new religion,"[9] with references to a report released by the U.S. Senate Environment and Public Works Committee (minority), led by Jim Inhofe, in March 2009.[10] The report states that Giaever has said "I am a skeptic… Global warming has become a new religion."[10][11]

In a featured story in Norway's largest newspaper, Aftenposten, 26 June 2011, Giaever stated, "It is amazing how stable temperature has been over the last 150 years."[12]

On 13 September 2011, though honored as a Fellow, Giaever resigned from the American Physical Society over its official position noting: "In the APS it is ok to discuss whether the mass of the proton changes over time and how a multi-universe behaves, but the evidence of global warming is incontrovertible?"[13][14]

As part of the 62nd Lindau Nobel Laureate Meeting, Giaever referred to agreement with the evidence of climate change as a "religion" and commented on the significance of the apparent rise in temperature when he stated "What does it mean that the temperature has gone up 0.8 degrees? Probably nothing." Referring to the selection of evidence in his presentation, Giaever stated "I pick and choose when I give this talk just the way the previous speaker [Mario Molina] picked and chose when he gave his talk." Giaever concluded his presentation with a pronouncement: "Is climate change pseudoscience? If I’m going to answer the question, the answer is: absolutely."[15][16]

So please, don't take my word for it, take Ivar's. I am sure you can beat him in a debate, Box. And you- you no good illiterate guinea rat J.O. - you dirty peasant with b.o.- I am sure you would beat him in an argument too, since you are another genius liberal who is willing to roll over for anyone who will give you power. YOU are a disgrace to Italians.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."

That's right, because it's factual and real. Those records go all the way back to 1958.

I didn't see where the data from 44k-120k years ago in the story, could you point that out?

First of all, by the size of Graham's text, we can assume that he's not only drinking again, but he's
missed his 'anger management classes, which he sorely needs.

Read Graham's text and you'll have an insight into what drives Graham's anger.
Graham has a degree... And you can see that he WORSHIPS anyone with a college degree as
if it were some kind of deity.
Graham has a degree...
The successful people that Graham worships all have degrees...
The world is full of successful people with degrees...
But Graham, even though he has his degree is a failure.

People like Graham don't get it. Graham thinks that as long as he has that college certificate, he
is ENTITLED to success.
That Success will come automatically for him, and, of course, it hasn't.

Here's an education for you Graham... Something that your college degree didn't teach you:
~Arash Ferdowsi is a co-founder of DropBox, which is now worth an estimated $4 billion.
(COLLEGE DROPOUT)

~Matt Mullenweg started WordPress, which now powers 16% of the web.
(COLLEGE DROPOUT)

~Aaron Levie started enterprise software company Box, which could IPO at a valuation as much
as $3 billion.
(COLLEGE DROPOUT)

~Mark Zuckerberg has built Facebook into the world's largest social network, with over a billion
monthly active users
(COLLEGE DROPOUT)

~Stacey Ferreira (MySocialCloud.com.)
(COLLEGE DROPOUT)

`David Karp created Tumblr, now the 9th-most visited site in the United State
(HIGH SCHOOL DROPOUT) I bet Graham will have a stroke reading this one!

~Dustin Moskovitz is one of Facebook's billionaire co-founders, and went on to start Asana.
(COLLEGE DROPOUT)

~In 2012, Pete Cashmore made Time magazine's list of the 100 most influential people, and
his web site Mashable is now one of the most visited online publications.
(COLLEGE DROPOUT)

~Now a Millionaire, Daniel Ek co-founded the wildly popular music streaming service Spotify
(COLLEGE DROPOUT)

~Before founding a million-dollar company, Threadless Co-Founder Jeffrey Kalmikoff was
kicked out of one school and dropped out of another.
(COLLEGE DROPOUT)

~Sahil Lavingia helped design Pinterest and launched his own company, Gumroad, as a teenager.
(COLLEGE DROPOUT)

~Zach Sims started Codecademy, which has over one million users and raised more than
$10 million from investors
(COLLEGE DROPOUT)

~The recently named CEO of AOL's content brands and former Gilt CEO, Susan Lyne dropped
out of UC Berkeley.
(COLLEGE DROPOUT)

~Whole Foods Founder John Mackey dropped out of the University of Texas several times,
never graduated, and never took a business course.
(COLLEGE DROPOUT)

By now Graham is pulling out what hair he has left in anguish over these high school and college
dropouts. " HOW CAN THEY BE SO SUCCESSFUL WHEN I, WITH THAT PIECE OF PAPER,
AM SUCH A FAILURE"?

Also:
~Ansel Adams, photographer. Dropped out of high school.

~Wally “Famous” Amos, multimillionaire cookie entrepreneur, author, talent agent.
Dropped out of high school at the age of 17 to join the U.S. Air Force.

~Tom Anderson, co-founder of MySpace. A high school dropout.

~Gene Autry, singing cowboy, actor, songwriter, producer, businessman, author,
baseball team owner.
High school dropout.

~Thomas Edison ... Never attended any technical school, college or university.

The List Of Successful People Goes On Forever... and then there is Graham, with his degree.
  Poor Graham.

philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

GOP Deeply Divided Over Climate Change

Just 25% of Tea Party Republicans say there is solid evidence of global warming,
compared with 61%of non-Tea Party Republicans.

ughh I can't believe their are people dumb enough to dispute that our actions are causing this. Quit putting your politics in front of the future of your offspring and their offspring and their offspring, etc... The scientific community is in almost unanimous agreement this is happening. All the reputable scientists who have no financial stake in this believe it's happening, wake up!!! Stop believing what your corporate masters tell you! Your listening to the 1% of scientists who are funded by energy companies who have a financial gain to be made by attempting to dispute what is clear and obvious to anyone with scientific training. Your letting your ego as a "conservative" overwhelm your common sense. Quite being puppets for the energy companies and the billionaires that run them, and help us find ways to slow down the destructive activities we are doing.
