Who owns the Getty station at the 5 corners in rotterdam?
Heard they were closing in a couple of months....owners(whoever they are) were going to take out gas tanks and demolishing the building.
Making room for a roundabout?

yup....heard it will close in 2-3 months and the buidling is coming down. that's what the getty owner is telling folks. |

Um, Rotterdam doesn't have 'planning'. I don't think anyplace around here has real planning, except possibly Saratoga Springs.
A lot of gas stations are having to replace the aged fuel tanks around the same time, because they were put in mostly in the sixties, and sometimes thecompanies reassess the value of a particular location at that time.
It would be the time to do some new configuration there with the roads, if one were in the works, but all communities, not just Rotterdam, seem to blow these opportunities, don't they? In Niskayuna, the Union Street/Balltown Road intersection is really too tight, after that last remodel, yet that rotten abandoned house still sits there. I can see not disturbing where those large mansion type houses are, but that one with moss covered vinyl siding? Come on.
