You have the question backwards again. You make the assumption that any ban on AR15 would mean they disappear from earth and violent criminals would never get their hands on them.(even though we know the federal government sell them to drug cartels(fast and furious)

On January 31, in Kaufman, Texas, Assistant District Attorney Mark E. Hasse, 57, was gunned down in the employee parking lot of the Kaufman County Courthouse by two men wearing tactical vests. He was working on a major case against the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas. He was armed and expecting trouble.
On March 30, Kaufman District Attorney Mike McLelland and his wife were gunned down in their home by assassins with an AR-15 rifle. The 20+ shots killed the District Attorney who had 23 years of military training, weapons in his home and, after his ADA was killed less than two months earlier, was expecting trouble.
Three days later, April 2, the Federal prosecutor in Dallas, who had been working on the Aryan Brotherhood of Texas case, walked away from the job for “security” reasons. This prosecutor had available the blanket of security of the U.S. Marshal’s service to protect him. He did not feel safe.
A“good guy with the gun” will, as the NRA tells us, get a “bad guy with a gun.” In three very clear instances, the victims did not stand a chance. They were armed, They were prepared and, They were armed and trained to protect themselves and their family. All are DEAD!

So what you're saying that all of them were found WITH A WEAPON on their person at the time of the crime? Because if they weren't armed, they could not have been expecting trouble in the way you described. Any of these crimes could have easily been committed with a handgun, or without a gun at all.
If and when they do apprehend the assailants(s), there's a 90% chance that they weren't legally eligible to own the gun(s) and any assault weapons ban would have done NOTHING to prevent the killings from happening.

if our town had a law like Kennesaw GA - where a long rifle is required in every home - btw this than has a ZERO murder rate since the law was passed - I would stand a better chance against both and aren't guns outlawed in DC and Chicago?? cities with murder rates of over 20 and 15 per 100,000 respectively

(Photo: Getty) Mayor Michael Bloomberg may have canceled his morning radio appearance today in response to the ongoing manhunt for a suspect involved in Monday’s deadly bombing attack on the Boston Marathon, but another top New York official, Governor Andrew Cuomo, scheduled his own radio interview on The Capitol Pressroom soon after. Mr. Cuomo directly addressed the high-profile situation in the Bay State by employing a phrase he previously used to describe climate change in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy: “the new normal.”
“It’s a terrible situation in Boston. And, unfortunately, … one gets the sense that this is more reflective of the ‘new normal,’ if you will,” he explained. “So much of society is changing so rapidly. We talk about a ‘new normal’ when it comes t0 climate change and adjusting to a change in the weather patterns. ‘New normal’ when it comes to public security in a post-9/11 world. Where these random acts of violence, which at one time were implausible, now seem all-too-frequent.”
Additionally, Mr. Cuomo said New York police units are on stand-by and assisting authorities in Boston. The governor further noted that he worked with Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick during their shared time in former President Bill Clinton’s administration some years ago.
“I have been in contact. Our offices have been in contact and our respective officials have been talking,” he said. “I’m wanted him to know that we’re here for him. The authorities have been cooperating. We have a very good relationship with Massachusetts. They’ve been very kind to us in many circumstances … I’m a big fan of Deval’s. We were together in the Clinton administration so I know him personally and he’s doing a very good job.”

Actually hammers and hands/fists are more dangerous or at least are used to murder more people than rifles every year

I do stand corrected I did not take into account the 3 murders in a "Gun free zone" in 2010 just like your data FAILS to mention this, your data fails to state the conviction on 2006 for murder in 2005 that was just adjusted in feb of this year based on GA's Stand your ground law
