Thinking, caring people???
You've just excluded a large group on this board.

Sorry Box, have to disagree...it's a very small group, both in size and mental acuity!

Do you believe the Second Amendment to the U.S. constitution guarantees the rights of Americans to

the right to own guns?

Oh yeah L4L--that would have worked with the Newtown mother who bought the gun if she decided to sell it to her son--result would have been the same except he would have owned the gun leagally.

Not exactly the sharpest tack in the box, now is he?

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Supply and demand work in crime just as they do in the legal world.

If the AWB causes the cost of an illegal AR15 to double in price, then it will no doubt put that price out of
the range of some criminals.  If they are less plentiful, there are less to be sold on the streets illegally.
If a 30 round magazine is illegal, it won't be as available as it is today.

One point that is often discounted by GunHuggers... If there is a definite background check for any legal
gun purchase, those who are felons will not even bother attempting a gun sale at a gun show.
It may not make it impossible to own an illegal assault weapon, but it will make it more difficult.
IF all guns are traceable, all guns used in a crime can be traced to a legal owner and in many cases
lead to a conviction.

sort of....but in the 'crazy' criminals there's no hope of following laws/regulations....now organized crime will keep
their guns and continue their businesses and the politicians will allow it....

I'm sure organized criminals are lining up to 'check-in'.....because they wouldn't want the supply/demand chain to get
broken

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Amusing Box, that chart shows that opinions were equal up until the last survey done during
the 2 days following Sandy Hook.

Hardly random un skewed data.

Wow a poll taken right after a school shooting when people are full of emotions, just ignore the last 2 decades showing people not wanting more strict control. If I asked people if we should nuke the middle east I bet that number would have also spiked after 9/11, does it mean we should do it or does it show people aren't thinking rationally.

So now you understand the bogus "NO AR15 USED AT SANDY HOOK" hoax... the NRA and it's sheep will
do their best to dilute any news story that cuts down on their mission of gun sales.

Supporting military assault weapons in every home??? That is "thinking rationally"?

It's not about having an AK-47 in every home. It's about people's right to choose.

Which you selectively agree or disagree with, depending on the issue.

You fought for people's rights once.

Now you dedicate your life to crushing them.

For the children!

Where was your "for the children attitude, during Viet Nam?

Military assault rifles are full auto, sporting rifles like AR-15's are not full auto, also if the person is a law abiding citizen I believe he has every right to own a AR-15 and have it in his home.

The communists have declared rights to be regulated and issued or denied after careful examination
and proof submitted that they are deserved.

The latest national survey by the Pew Research Center for the People & the Press, conducted Jan. 9-13 among 1,502 adults, finds that 53% think that the federal government threatens their own personal rights and freedoms while 43% disagree.

I can't believe 53% of the country is "anti-government" and feel their freedoms are threatened by their own government!  Sounds like a whole lot of Oath Keepers.LOL
