The second death in just a few weeks.

We need immediate legislation to deal with this... Where is Chuck Schumer?

We have to ban the operation of subway trains of more than five cars, so they can stop faster when someone has been pushed on the tracks. Also, all subway users need to be registered and fingerprinted!!!
I demand action!

This is turning into an epidemic in American compared to other nations.  We MUST slow our subway systems down and lower the loading platforms so people can climb out if they fall in.  I agree with 55, ALL subway riders should be required to be licensed to ride the subway and require a background check and fingerprinting.

It turns out that the Subway killer is just a (typical) deranged Right Winger type islamophobe, who doesn't
know a Hindu from a Muslim.
She blamed an Indian Hindu, for the Sept 11 attacks.  (Maybe she just watched FoxSnooze)

New York City police arrested a Bronx woman and charged her with second-degree murder as a hate crime
for pushing an Indian man to his death at a Queens subway platform, The New York Times reported on Saturday.

Queens District Attorney Richard A. Brown said the suspect, Erika Menendez, told authorities she acted out
of Islamophobic beliefs stemming from the 9-11 terrorist attack on the city.

“I pushed a Muslim off the train tracks because I hate Hindus and Muslims,” Menendez said to police,
according to Brown. “Ever since 2001 when they put down the twin towers I’ve been beating them up.”

The victim, 46-year-old coffee shop owner Sunando Sen, was an Indian native raised as a Hindu. Police
said he was pushed from behind onto the tracks at the 40th Street-Lowery Street station Thursday night
and was crushed by an oncoming train.

maybe she felt she was helping extrajudicially convict what she thought was a potential terrorist.  After all, the federalgovernment declared America part of the battlefield in the "war on terror".  She was just following the lead of the highest in government.  You don't need evidence or due process to kill a potential terrorist.  The precisent has been set by Obama.

Cicero seems to have the same thinking as many murderers in our country.  A study done when capitol
punishment was being applied in most states found that when a prisoner was executed, the number of
murders would also increase in the following months.  (The opposite of what you might expect).
Further research found (and Cicero confirms) that the increase of people who commit murder did so
because they identified with the state... Like Cicero, they "identified" with the state, and just as the
state executed a wrong doer, they also took on that justification to kill who they considered a 'wrong
doer' too.
Cic seems to understand these things so maybe he could expand on this issue.

So let me get this straight. Your research now supports my stance that murder is learned from the government?

No.  Actually the murderous behavior was already present (as with Cicero), but the govt executions
justified murder in their sick perverted minds.  As with Cic, it didn't teach them murder it gave them
an excuse to murder.

Government executions cause murderers to feel justified?

I'm trying to get an exact definition of what you are saying.

Government executions are murder, are they not?

It's not exactly self defense when the person is already your prisoner.

I'll concede this (I'm no Bush apologist) even though I don't remember Bush having weekly meetings discussing a kill list that included American citizens.  So I amend my post - the Federal Government has set a precedent that people who are believed to be a threat (even a half a world away) can be extra judicially executed.  No charges, no evidence, no warrant needed and NO COURT needed.  And people act surprised when citizens begin to adopt the lawlessness of those that are at the highest in law enforcement.

Murder
~ The killing of another human being under conditions specifically covered in law. In the U.S.,
special statutory definitions include murder committed with malice aforethought, characterized by
deliberation or premeditation or occurring during the commission of another serious crime, as robbery
or arson (first-degree murder)  and murder by intent but without deliberation or premeditation
(second-degree murder)
~ to kill (someone) unlawfully with premeditation or during the commission of a crime

To answer your question:
Government executions are murder, are they not?   No.  That doesn't fit the definition of
murder.
