A&E doctors are calling for a ban on long pointed kitchen knives to reduce deaths from stabbing.
A team from West Middlesex University Hospital said violent crime is on the increase - and kitchen knives are used in as many as half of all stabbings.

They argued many assaults are committed impulsively, prompted by alcohol and drugs, and a kitchen knife often makes an all too available weapon.

The research is published in the British Medical Journal.

The researchers said there was no reason for long pointed knives to be publicly available at all.

Makes perfect sense, there is nothing in the Constitution guaranteeing  a right to kitchen knives.  Let's just hope murderer don't start using forks and spoons to kill.

If England would just 'embrace' guns like here in the USA, the ER staff would have a much easier time.
A stab wound to the belly can be fatal, but the victim will often recover...
At stabbing distance,  with a "Real Weapon" like a .357 or 00 buckshot, England's ER's would soon notice
that the only real work for them to do is to pronounce the victim 'dead' and ship his body to the morgue.

(They should plan to beef up the staff at the Morgue, for the additional USA type customers. )

How is violent crime on the increase in England?  I know England has a 5 times higher violent crime rate than the U.S., but they have lower gun crime.  I'm being bombarded with propaganda telling me that guns = crime.  But if you combine all violent crimes like rape, assault, and burglery, England is a much more violent nation than the U.S.

Maybe the anti-gun crowd want disarm women and law abiding citizens so they can be more easily raped or homes more easilly burglerized.

Hey, you are the one that compares the US to other nations policies as it relates to violent crime.  I guess I'm not supposed to measure it against their violent crime rate, just gun statistics.  I can't point out that gun ownership may actually prevent other violent crimes.  Or that crime is MUCH higher in gun free zones.  Got it!

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
