Considering the magnitude of the storm that's coming tonight, I thought I would offer a little comedy.  I was out delivering papers Christmas morning, starting at about 1 AM, and continuing until I was finished at about 5:30-5:45.  The snow started (quite lightly) around 1 AM or so, and continued the rest of the night.  Our fearless Town Highway Superintendent didn't have any plows out until almost daybreak... per himself.  Don't believe me?  Check his Facebook page...

Oh, the irony.  People are driving around on unplowed roads in town, and all he can think of is going and getting a tan.  Thanks, Jim.  Stay with the party you jumped to, we don't want you back.

Hopefully the plowing starts a little sooner tonight.  By the way, at this time, no state of emergency here, although other places have already started to declare them.

I found the christmas dusting plow to be a dusting on the taxpayer's a$$......

Many folks are saying the same thing.
that's too bad cause ROTTENdam has always been know for their pristine plowed roads.

The main roads were pretty clean in Rotterdam yesterday.  I would say that the side roads were 50-50 .. some reasonably plowed and others were not.  The city streets were a mess in Bellevue and Mont Pleasant.

What's this?    DV criticizing his buddy mayor McC???????    Two years ago he was praising the dems lousy plowing in the city.

The town was so so.

But I too want an answer as to why the town was plowing the half inch we got on Christmas, the plow came through our street before 6 a.m.    A holiday and outside of normal business hours for a half inch.

I live by the 5 corners and at 10 pm the town finally plowed my road. Boy they (the town) suck at this job. Must be their out of practice due to the lack of snow last
year or Stewarts has a discount on coffee today

WHO HEADS THE HIGHWAY........maybe the council did it to save money they don;t have.

it shouldn't be an issue of $$$$.
all municipalities saved a bundle last year with no snow!!

The plows were doing a pretty good job keeping Route 158 clear during this past storm.  I can't say anything about the side roads in town because I didn't have to venture on to any of them.
