Box, I don't FEAR those things mentioned.  I just recognize them for what they are.  Yeah, and I go to work because I FEAR of not having money.LOL

OK... Let me rephrase:
It must be a terrible life to live as you, Henry and Cic do every day... living in fear...
Fear of the police, so you feel you need an assualt rifle to protect you.
Fear of Criminals, so you feel you need an assualt rifle to protect you.
Fear of the FBI so you feel you need an assualt rifle to protect you.
Fear of NY State Police so you feel you need an assualt rifle to protect you.
Fear of Liberals so you feel you need an assualt rifle to protect you.
Fear of your own government so you feel you need an assualt rifle to protect you.
Fear of ...
Fear of just about everything  so you feel you need an assualt rifle to protect you.

so let me understand this....owning a clip with 10 or less bullets is OK because ONLY killing 10 folks isn't as bad?

isn't the punishment for the crime----THE SAME? regardless of the numbers killed? or even if one person was killed by one
knife wielding idiot?

really?

I'm not seeing the rationalization of the 'ban'.....someone PLEASE spell it out for me....

is it the numbers killed or is it truly about the kill and the responsibility of said killer...????

Newtown Shooting the Worst Day of His Presidency, Obama Says
By MICHAEL SCHWIRTZ and JOHN M. BRODER
Published: December 30, 2012

President Obama said Sunday that the day of the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Conn., was the worst of his presidency and that he wanted new legislation limiting access to some types of firearms passed within the first year of his second term.
http://www.nytimes.com/2012/12.....sp;  Obama Calls for Renewal of Assault Weapons Ban

President Obama tonight said he’s interested in seeing an assault weapons ban reintroduced, breaking his silence on the legislation, which has persisted in spite of at least five mass shootings during his term.

At the end of a long answer to the question, “What has your administration done or planned to do to limit the availability of assault weapons?” Obama said this:     http://abcnews.go.com/blogs/po.....p;

Nah...I just want an assault rifle.  Fear isn't a factor.

Just curious, why do SWAT teams and civilian government agents need assault rifles and I don't?  FEAR?

Record gun sales were recorded in December 2012 with over 2.7 million background checks being conducted through the FBI's National Instant Check System (NICS), the agency said today. For 2012, more background checks were conducted than any year since 1998.

In December, 2,783,765 total background checks were carried out to purchase firearms, surpassing the previous record from November 2012 when 2,006,919 checks were performed.

For the year, 19,592,303 background checks carried out for firearm purchases-a 19 percent rise from 2011.

Each check doesn't represent a single gun, just a single background check transaction.

NICS has access to information from computers at the FBI's Criminal Justice Information Services Division, searching records that would prohibit a buyer from owning a gun, such as being a fugitive, having a felony conviction or charge, renouncing U.S. citizenship, or having been determined as mentally impaired. NICS was mandated by the Brady Handgun Violence Prevention Act and set up in November 1998.

Since the NICS system was established in November 1998 a total of 160,474,702 background checks were made. Of these, around .006 percent of those attempted purchases were denied and .00008% (fewer than a hundred people a year) were prosecuted for lying on the form.

The monthly totals since 1998 can be viewed here.

The spike in sales late last year may be attributed to concern over possible new gun control regulations following the presidential election in November and the Newtown, Conn., school shooting in December.

According to FBI officials there were no problems with conducting the background checks. In November on the day after Thanksgiving, traditionally the busiest shopping day of the year the NICS system had two brief outages.

Want a gun Henry??? with out a background check, ID or even telling the seller your name???
Go to a Gun Show!

Thanks to our NRA, background checks are not required by sales at Gun Shows... 40% of
the guns sold at gun shows have no background checks...
(The NRA has made sure they still have this venue to sell their guns)

SO
If I were a felon, mentally unstable or a terrorist unable to pass a background check in a gun
store...

I'D SEND A THANK YOU LETTER TO THE NRA AND BUY ALL THE GUNS I WANT AT GUN SHOWS!

Guns show backgrounds do nothing to limit the sale of firearms, as said above only .006% of people who go through background checks are denied anyways. If people want a firearm and don't wish to go through a background check they can easily just buy from a private seller, that is legal and will always be.

If I couldn't pass a background check... I'd buy a gun at a gun show.  The reason .006% of people are
denied, is because no one who knows they will flunk the check buy their guns legally at gun stores.
40% of sales at gun shows have no background checks... so
If we changed the law so that EVERY GUN SALE required a background check, whether private or
commercial, we would limit the sale of guns to criminals, terrorists and the mentally ill.

OR, WE CAN JUST GO ON SELLING TO CRIMINALS, TERRORISTS AND THE MENTALLY ILL.

One thing all the gunstore owners are saying, it is the liberals who are pushing the gun sales through the roof, this is backfiring on them quicker then I thought

Don't ever believe that the gun shows aren't filled with FBI and ATF people selling weapons to
entrap targeted persons.

It would be negligence for them not to monitor all actions at gun shows.

FBI and ATF are at every big gun show just waiting for someone to break a law like selling an illegal weapon and that includes the guns sold in the parking lot too.
