Responsible GUN OWNERS are in favor of many reasonable gun restrictions...
The NRA and the Gun Manafacturers they represent will go on insuring that more will
die in mass shootings.

Quoted Text
1. Requiring criminal background checks on gun owners and gun shop employees.
87 percent of non-NRA gun-owners and 74 percent of NRA gun owners support the former,
and 80 percent and 79 percent, respectively, endorse the latter.

2. Prohibiting terrorist watch list members from acquiring guns.
Support ranges from 80 percent among non-NRA gun-owners to 71 percent among NRA members.

3. Mandating that gun-owners tell the police when their gun is stolen.
71 percent non-NRA gun-owners support this measure, as do 64 percent of NRA members.

4. Concealed carry permits should only be restricted to individuals who have completed a safety
training course and are 21 and older.
84 percent of non-NRA and 74 percent of NRA member gun-owners support the safety training
restriction, and the numbers are 74 percent and 63 percent for the age restriction.

5. Concealed carry permits shouldn’t be given to perpetrators of violent misdemeanors or
individuals arrested for domestic violence.
The NRA/non-NRA gun-owner split on these issues is 81 percent and 75 percent in favor of the
violent misdemeanors provision and 78 percent/68 percent in favor of the domestic violence restriction.

Just sweep away any responsiblity for those kids... and for the next batch of kids your agenda is
lining up in their sights... Your Right to bear arms does not superscede their Right to life, and you
know it.

So our rights are to blame, damn that constitution

Responsible GunHugger Victims:

If Adam Lanza's mom had been a 'responsible GunHugger, her assault weapons would have been
locked and unavailable to her mentally ill son.

Here is a quote from box in regards to L4L showing kids who died

Some on this board have no sense of moral propriety on what is, and is not, acceptable.  As long as it
furthers their agenda, it is acceptable for them.

The government teaches the use of death as a tool for justifiable problem solving.

Stop teaching kids to kill.

Yup, my right to life depends on my right to defend myself, that includes defense with guns.  You are choosing whose right to life has more value.

I don't have a responsibility to disarm myself of certain weapons for the actions of a psychopath's violation of another persons right to life.  That's absurd logic.

Not your rights... there is nothing wrong with the Right To Bear Arms.

Most Americans support stronger gun laws...
This isn't about the second amendment, it's about passing Legal, Constitutionally Permissable Gun
Restrictions to benefit all Americans.
NOTE:
Benefit ALL AMERICANS except criminals, the menatlly ill and terrorists who would use the 2nd
amendment to further their agenda.

Um... Cicero.  I assume that you probably would NOT pass a background check if some of your posts
from this board were to be part of your Background Check to Purchase a weapon.

I have never proposed to limit your "right to defend yourself", unless you consider your right to
defend yourself includes rocket launchers, artillery, hand grenades, assault weapons or other military
type weapons.
A 12 ga shotgun, a pistol (if any sherrif will issue you a permit) or most rifles are available for
you to defend yourself.

It must be noted that there is a certain small number of individuals who need weapons to make up for a
lack of physical prowess.  This small number of people are among the most adamant in forcing their
gun agenda on the rest of America.
I don't know if you (or other board GunHuggers) are among that group... but it is worth noting.

Reagan, Ford & Carter helped pass the Assault Weapons Ban!

May 3, 1994

Quoted Text
To Members of the U.S. House of Representatives:

We are writing to urge your support for a ban on the domestic manufacture of military-style
assault weapons. This is a matter of vital importance to the public safety. Although assualt
weapons account for less than 1% of the guns in circulation, they account for nearly 10%
of the guns traced to crime.

Every major law enforcement organization in America and dozens of leading labor, medical,
religious, civil rights and civic groups support such a ban. Most importantly, poll after poll
shows that the American public overwhelmingly support a ban on assault weapons. A 1993
CNN/USA Today/Gallup Poll found that 77% of Americans support a ban on the manufacture,
sale, and possession of semi-automatic assault guns, such as the AK-47.

The 1989 import ban resulted in an impressive 40% drop in imported assault weapons traced
to crime between 1989 and 1991, but the killing continues. Last year, a killer armed with two
TEC9s killed eight people at a San Francisco law firm and wounded several others. During the
past five years, more than 40 law enforcement officers have been killed or wounded in the line
of duty by an assault weapon.

While we recognize that assault weapon legislation will not stop all assault weapon crime,
statistics prove that we can dry up the supply of these guns, making them less accessible
to criminals. We urge you to listen to the American public and to the law enforcement
community and support a ban on the further manufacture of these weapons.

Sincerely,

Gerald R. Ford

Jimmy Carter

Ronald Reagan

“I do not believe in taking away the right of the citizen for sporting, for hunting and so forth,
or for home defense. But I do believe that an AK-47, a machine gun, is not a sporting weapon
or needed for defense of a home.”

--Ronald Reagan, in a speech at his 78th birthday celebration in Los Angeles on February 6, 1989.

L4L showed dead children killed by military violence.  That's out of bounds.

Might I add, the acts of violence were committed in L4L's images were at the direction by what he considers "sane" people - military generals.  Unlike Newtown, where we know the person committing the atrocities was INSANE.

I didn't post the pics of dead children's bloody bodies as did L4Life, in his feble attempt to rally support
using the blood of children.
If I had access to the Sandy Hook Victimes bloody bodies, I would not post them nor would I support
anyone who did.

The topic of those dead children, either from drone strikes or from GunHugger mass shootings IMO are
very much a valid subject to be discussed.

I know Cic... your only rules is to post what ever furthers your agenda with out regard for the propriety
of the post.

I love box's post.  "I never proposed to limit your right to defend yourself", unless...I did. LOL

You supported the NYS SAFE ACT.  It restricts gun ownership.  You cannot buy certain 12 ga shotguns, certain rifles and magazine capacites are restricted.  The same weapons and magazine capacities that police deem critical to their self defense.

So not only do you support limiting my ability for self defense, you also support giving those same weapons to agents of the state for THEIR self defense.
