oh, you live there and came before me, and laid some of these bricks
Your world is what you make of it. You seem to ignore the good and fixate on anything negative. Your glass ins't half empty... it's broken.
The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness. John Kenneth Galbraith
Senders is quoting Science Fiction... I'm not surprised.

you probably have a piece of 'science fiction' that you are accessing this forum with, and you probably have a credit/debit card, you probably have a cell phone etc etc....
science fiction also comes with questions about the effects upon humanity both good AND bad...a lot of it good on the surface which requires the delving into for the insidious bad effects....
I question EVERYTHING...it's just my nature...
I don't have to question a tree/cat/dog/fish etc...but I do have to question humans as you should also
...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......
The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Yes I should live in fear, trusting no one, suspicious of everything, and concentrate on the fear in my life. No thanks. The world is a great place to live if you just open your eyes and see it.

it's not out of fear....it's because I'm a human with a brain that likes to dig....don't you?
I have a voracious appetite for reading/researching because I am a curious human,,,,nothing to do with fear but I need to find the truths by my own sweat, then I know it's real.
I don't know what your specialty is in life, but if you and I were to have a conversation about your specialty, I would then seek out more info about it just because it wasn't my specialty and I would want to know more about it.
A politicians specialty is what comes from their mouths and the papers they sign and that affects ALL OF US...and I question it and research it. they draw the lines on the roads we travel in life via legislation.

You like to dig... this is what you found when you dug:
~and we eat that sh!t with mustard ~a whole generation lives under the cloud of 9/11 and big daddy American government everywhere CAUTION: CONTENTS HOT AND MAY BURN ETC ETC..... ~I don't have to question a tree/cat/dog/fish etc...but I do have to question humans as you should also ~science fiction also comes with questions about the effects upon humanity both good AND bad...a lot of it good on the surface which requires the delving into for the insidious bad effects....
Your posts almost always concern the 'insidious bad effects'. It must be all that you see.

Nope,,,I see the other side too....what I actually fear is the insidious effect upon the human's need for self preservation, when given up to others via the fear used at the podiums of our leaders....
we've gone from the cold war to terrorist practice at the schools....instilled at a young age to follow direction instead of what is already inside you for you to access.....

For a group who exposes to 'question everything'... they certainly didn't 'question' the validity of the FACTS OF THEIR GRAPH.
Go ahead, disprove any of the figures.
I posted identical firearm deaths from 2 out of thousands of sources.
Box now begins his diversionary dance, since he can't produce a fact.
Better yet, name one figure on the chart that you feel is incorrect.
More concealed weapons = lower crime and fewer firearm related deaths.
I told you several times the safest place for your weapon is in your personal protect, so no nutjob can take it and commit crimes with it. No one is going to be able to commit suicide with a gun that is always protected by the owner.

No one except the owner.
