The genie is out of the bottle...All the gun control laws imaginable will do no good. We have MILLIONS of guns in the streets...what makes you think laws will make them disappear?? I can to go the hill and buy a gun and be back in my office before my lunch hour is up.

Take away the guns and the nuts will use knives, or bombs... just like McVeigh..Search online and you'll find hundreds of ways to make one..with items you can pick up at price chopper.

Mental illness and the acceptance/celebration of violence in popular culture are much involved than the instrument used....You know why no one wants to talk about it? Because it's hard...hard to see your societies faults.

Why not go after the Alcohol companies for the 10,000+ killed EVERY YEAR..INCLUDING KIDS because people misuse the product they produce??

As already posted a nutjob in China stabbed over 20 students today at a school, the 2nd amendment is not the problem never was never will be, the problem is we do have evil in this world, laws can not stop that, banning items can not stop that.

Banning the instrument without addressing the reason people need/want to use it is doomed to failure.
When there's a demand, there's money... when there's money, there's supply..

As it is now, I can get up, travel 20 minutes from my house, buy a illegal gun and be back in time for corn flakes. I can just imagine how easy it will be when the black market is the only market.

What makes anyone think that a waiting period or outright ban is going stop someone from committing insane crimes?
