We should spend based on the amount of people getting sick and dying from a disease...
Annual statistics for AIDS
We spend 15 billion on research and programs, with 50,000 new cases and it kills around 20,000 a year.
Annual statistics for cancer
We spend 4.8 billion on cancer research annually, 1.5 MILLION new cases and 500,000+ deaths a year.
Why the disparity? because the squeaky wheel (hollywood and minorities) get the grease..there's no other way to explain it. |
