What do the filibuster & electoral college have in common, they do not serve the Republic for the Republic exist no more.

The filibuster, cut the methane & vote legislation up or down.  Skip the side show.  As a voter in New York State I want my vote to count.  The blue & red states be damned.  The electoral is another vestige of a world that went out of existence a long time ago.

Politicians need to stop the procedural votes, nesting wasteful legislation in hot button issues & vote.  Reduce game playing & let legislation rise or fall on its own merit.

The electoral college is right up there with the 3/5 blackman.  Some say the 3/5 concept was a legislative maneuver, maybe yes, maybe no.  I see it as a disgrace.  The electoral college makes me a 3/5 voter & I don't like it.

All you constitutional purist, spare me the history lesson.  Your time has come & gone.  A new America is rising where illegal's can vote (no ID), a president rules by decree (ours, not the guy in Egypt), Czars tell US how to live & wealth is being redistributed.  A finite wealth.

Remember that refrain from The Peace Corp?,  Give a man food & he will  eat for a while, teach him how to farm (work) & he will feed himself.  A finite wealth will feed the hungry for a limited time frame.  Then the hunger sets in, with no more wealth the hungry will start feeding off one another in the most literal sense.

Look at what America has become & you talk about constitutional purity.  Get real!

What a bunch of jibberish.

He talks about presidents ruling by decree, then suggests eliminating the electoral college(basically eliminating the little power left held by the states) in exchange for a pure democracy.

If you feel your 1 vote doesn't count cast in a population of 19 million - why would you think your 1 vote would count more in a population of 300 million?

If you think your vote is worth 3/5 now, it would worth 15 times LESS in pure democracy.
