Denny's to charge 5% 'Obamacare surcharge' and cut employee hours to deal with cost of legislationBy James Nye

President Obama's election victory ensured his Affordable Care Act would remain the centerpiece of his first term in power - but that has left some business owners baulking at the extra cost Obamcare will bring.

Florida based restaurant boss John Metz, who runs approximately 40 Denny's and owns the Hurricane Grill & Wings franchise has decided to offset that by adding a five percent surcharge to customers' bills and will reduce his employees' hours.

With Obamacare due to be fully implemented in January 2014, Metz has justified his move by claiming it is 'the only alternative. I wonder if Denny's has checked with Applebees to see how their anti Obamacare program worked out?

Applebees is spending a huge amount of $$$ in an attempt to regain their loyal customers lost to anti-
Obama politics.

All businesses are passing the added cost on to the consumers.
Denny's should have just kept their mouths shut and just up their prices.
Everyone knew this was going to be a huge money pit!!!

Like this was a big surprise that companies raise their prices when the government raises their taxes, so when you tax the rich you really tax the poorest as well.

Denny's wasn't interested in adjusting prices, it wanted to make a political statement.
Like Applebees, it will pay the price in lost customers.

READ THE ARTICLE... it's not Denny's corporate...it's the owner of 40 Denny's franchises..40 of the 1685 franchises or 2.3% of them.
Of course, the libs will run with it and make the other 97.7% of the franchises pay, with lost customers... all in the interest of Obamacare

I'm not promoting a boycott of Denny's... (the quality of their food is boycott enough!)

The 40 Denny's have brought this issue on the rest of the company all by their self.  No help from the Libs.

This article just broke today... the people that will organize the boycotts will not differentiate one Denny's from another, and the sheep that follow them certainly won't....just wait and observe..

All you have to do is understand History and human tendencies...
You do it all the time, except when it interferes with your Agenda(s)

Not to worry, Obamacare/Pelosi-Paloozacare will be so expensive that the government will only be able to hire unemployed "burger flippers" (from Denny's and similar places) to provide medical care for all Americans.

they can add the charge to 'cover' our sin....and never say anything....we just keep marching along in line....

shame on us......

they never have to say a word...because even if they go out of business, some other jackwagon would take over/build something
and just have higher prices and WE WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO TELL THE DIFFERENCE....

GET IT YET!!!!??????

don't talk about the icky details just the fluff and stuff at the F'EN podiums.....we'll be eating our gall
