For a mere 320 billion dollars you can be your own country.

320 billion is one fiftieth of the national debt.

Plus we will be removing all US military bases and equipment.

Along with all federal border patrol operations.

Good luck, Texans.

Texas GDP is $1.3 Trillion.  It's the 15th largest economy in the world.  I have a feeling those bases would be closing for good if they seceded, plus many more.

If Texas secedes, they will have more borders to patrol.

Plus they have to keep Bush.

Just think of the Billions of tax dollars we could save if just Mississippi and Louisiana would take a hike!
We should even throw in Alaska and we'd save enough to pay for OBAMACARE for free!

Please go... don't think about the decision... just take your sorry a$$ state and leave the USA to those who
now pay your bills!!!

BAD NEWS!

It looks like we may be stuck with the freeloaders after all.  The GOP is reconsidering the request to leave
the union.

"Conservative Leaders Reject Secession Talk In Wake Of Obama’s Election"

Just when it looked like we could unload that useless baggage... the deadbeats changed their mind.

(I'm so disappointed)

This whole thread cracks me up. FYI, I'd also be fine letting the dumbest, poorest, most freeloading states go as well. I'm thinking of their new country name, perhaps, the united states of republicans or the United States of we read god's mind..... Nah, there's gotta be a better name... I'll have to think about it.

To really appreciate the humor in that petition, look at the addresses of most of the names.

Most of the signatures advocating Louisiana and Texas secession, are from people in northern states, and the few advocating NYS leave, are from people down south.

I would think that actually having to live in Louisiana is punishment enough!

We know of 2 families that moved to Louisiana over 5 years ago. They live in very very nice areas and in beautiful homes.
Prices/taxes are dirt cheap. And yes they do have their slums....no different than schenectady.
