The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness. John Kenneth Galbraith
from the very beginning of its history, women have always had a place in the White House. Historical records tell us that female servants carried John Adam's luggage into the White House and fixed him dinner on the day he became the first president to live in the White House.

Yes Buck, by all means. Conservatives are responsible for nothing, because that's all in the past. Tell that to the guy missing his legs because those scumbags start wars for nothing but personal gain. You have no legs? Ffft, stop harping on the past. It's all water under the bridge. It's Obama's fault that you have no legs now.

Actually, JFK was considered more conservative than Nixon on some issues in 1960. And compared to the extremist, neo-libs of today -- JFK and LBJ would probably be considered conservatives today. RFK (at least whenhe was running for President in 196 was certainly more liberal than JFK (when JFK ran in 1960) but interestingly RFK - as Attorney General -- was NOT considered a huge friend of the Civil Rights movement. RFK was not well liked by Dr King and the King family and to paraphrase a speech about RFK -- RFK " saw opportunities and tried to exploit them" for his own political gain.
