Before I move on with what I am about here, I believe most Americans have their heads stuck up their backside that we are doomed as a nation if an informed electorate is necessary for our survival.



* After the 1776 Revolution the media was manipulated to satisfy the objectives of the founding fathers. It seems to me they got it right that time.



* The slavery issue was pushed forward by an aggressive Northern media. The result was a Civil War, slavery ended being replaced by revenge & hate without end. The 'right & just' won but the price is still being accessed.



* The Spanish America War, "Remember The Maine" hysteria was fed by the media. The Maine probably blew up due to a boiler malfunction but the end did seem to justify the means. A moribund Spanish Empire was broken up to the Advantage of 'The Great White Fleet'.



* Americas entry into World War I was shepherded by a willing, pro British/French media. The Lusitania & The Zimmerman Telegram were German stupidity. It can be argued that had WWI ended (never started) there would have been no Hitler & Czar Nicky would have died of gout. WWI is absolute example that violence does not bring forth good things.



* Although the 'stupidity' of the Imperial Nippon Navy on December 7th guaranteed Americas entry into the war on the Allies (England's side) the American media plowed the fields of war for England. Hitler had to go as did Imperial Japan but how we got to that point is a classic of media manipulation.



* Korean 'police action' gets a pass.



* The Vietnam War was championed by the media fed by a Tonkin Gulf ruse. Eventually the media turned on the war, they got that right & the rest is history.



* In 2012 the media is in the bag for President Obama. How could it be otherwise, the media was cultivated in college & universities to see the world in a certain way, A world in a pink hue. The election is not over yet but the storm clouds are gathering & I fear Barack will prevail. the herds are running for Obama not a balanced, objective representation of what is taking place. Opinion & ideology have replaced journalism - again.



The media is riding the back of Kipling's Tiger, the tiger set to consume the media. I do not feel sorry for a corrupt media but I mourn the death of the Republic. As the media goes, so goes America. The media has gone to hell.



A compliant media is a fifth column ready to subvert the process's of democracy.  The countdown has begun.
