A few years from now, people will know for positive whether or not they are more prosperous, healthier, safer, or what not.
What they WILL NOT know, or give a rat's a$$ about, is who won the 2012 playoffs.

Exactly!

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Because that's what's important to the mentally deficient.

wow, sounds like someone got picked last for kickball one too many times...
they probably will know in a few years, but last two hours of the lying, zingering, and postering of the typical debate isnt going to tell them sh*t. they could learn just as much from watching their faucet drip, but baseball is more entertaining...most of the time anyway.

Romney led Obama into the trap by making Obama reiterate that he called the Benghazi attack a "terrorist act" during Obama's first public comments on the attack given in the Rose Garden.  Obama thought he was setting the record straight.  My guess is, you will see a Campaign Ad showing that clip from the debate followed by Obama leaving the rose garden and flying to Las Vegas to attend a political fundraiser immediately after acknowledging an American embassy was attacked by terrorists.  Not very presidential.

This embassy attack isn't going away anytime soon.

"I think it's interesting, the president just said something which is that on the day after the attack he went in the Rose Garden and said this was an act of terror?" Romney said.

"That's what I said," said Obama.

"You said it was an act of terror, it was not a spontaneous demonstration, is that what you're saying?" Romney asked Obama again, his eyebrows rising.

"Please proceed, Governor," Obama said to the stunned Romney.

"I want to make sure we get that for the record because it took the president 14 days before he called the attack in Benghazi an act of terror," Romney said, referring to the timeline of official explanations of what happened. And indeed, the administration initially linked the attack primarily to an anti-Islam film.

But, as moderator Candy Crowley pointed out about Obama's speech, Obama also called it terrorism. "He did, in fact, sir," Crowley told Romney.

Mitt, walked into a buzzsaw. It was a complete setup, and he ran in expecting to slam Obama, instead showing his blind ignorance.

1st string varsity 1st base actually.
That, and $2 will get me on the subway.
It's about as productive and entertaining as counting the number of red cars on the thruway.

Obama was unable to answer the question raised by the man who said he voted for Obama 4 years ago and wanted a reason to vote for him again.  Obama couldn't defend his own record and Romney clearly and simply laid out point by point how Obama had failed to deliver for the past 4 years.

Obama's other weakness will be the Libya issue.  It is obvious that Obama gave a misleading response to the question and this has opened the door for the media to spend the next 6 days talking about Libya -- and then we have Debate #3 on Foreign Policy when Libya will come back up again.   Obama's failure in Libya that led to 4 Americans dead will be the focus for at least the next 10 days of the campaign.

Finally, I think it was telling when Obama admitted that "those jobs won't come back" and Romney was able to respond with his "we don't have to settle for.." and point by point laid out Obama's failures again.

well, if its not that, then the mentally deficient comment must have come from being a tolerant, inclusive liberal.

I have to disagree...Mitt was able to get Obama to admit that in the Rose Garden statement, Obama called the attack on the Benghazi consulate a terrorist attack.  With the ongoing investigation and testimony going on in congress and more information coming out.  It is going to look bad the fact Obama flew to multiple political fundraiser immediately after he himself said it was a terrorist attack(now twice), instead of acting as the Commander and Chief and going down into the Situation Room as most Americans would expect a president to do when ambassador is killed.  Obama said "the buck stops" at his desk...Well, when the buck got to his desk, he went to a political fundraiser and delegated the responsibility to somebody else.

Obama embarrassed Romney on Libya.  What should have been a 'slam dunk' for Romney turned
into a Romney disaster!
The president was correct, and The Mitt looked like a fool!

What's that have to do with the price of eggs in China?

A.  Bush isn't president
B.  Iraq was a planned invasion
C.  Benghazi was an unexpected attack that killed 4 Americans including an ambassador.
