Samuel L. Jackson gives a compelling dissertation on Voting this November.

The modern conservative is engaged in one of man's oldest exercises in moral
philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Sorry, the College age kid is right... Politicians are all the same, they just serve different masters...
Romney will bankrupt us by giving tax breaks to the rich and everyone else.
Obama is and will bankrupt us by spending and spending with no plan to pay it back.

Yea.  You're probably right Tbird.  No sense voting this November.
I guess we should just stay home!

I notice you don't deny the premise.. but
I just may... My vote doesn't matter in a blue state like NY anyway and I don't think I can pull the lever for Romney.  I'll vote for the local races and either not pull a lever for prez at all or pull it for one of the minor parties.

Although I differ with Obama on some smaller points, I have no choice in this election:
  Pro Choice...
  Out of Afghanistan...
  Believe in Social Security...
Support Medicare not some lame Voucher Scam...
Against Tax Cuts for the rich and more of the Trickle Down BS...
  Support Planned Parenthood...
  Support women's rights
  and most important...
I support Universal Health Care for All Americans.

There is a huge difference in who wins this election.  For me it will matter a lot who wins in November.

His reasons for promoting Obama in this election are compelling.

You only find him compelling because"Samual L Jackson was great in Pulp Fiction".

we share a lot of the same beliefs... believe it or not, but my main issues are how to pay for it and making sure we REALLY try to control what we do spend by eliminating fraud and misuse. I'm a fiscal conservative, not a social conservative. I always look at the bottom line when it comes to issues. There a few health and welfare instances were I make exceptions.
I'm frankly tired of being lied to , by both sides.
Universal health care is a good thing, but saying it will reduce costs, not effect quality of care for those that do have private insurance, and not be a burden on businesses is a flat out lie. At least be honest and say it will require a sacrifice of the "haves" to make it a reality.
SS should stay, but it should not be the primary income of retirement because we cannot afford it.
Medicare should part be of Social Security benefits, but businesses like the AARP should not be exempt for government supervision just because they lobbied for ObamaCare.
The tax code needs to be scrapped, at least for individuals, and be converted to a VAT.
Able bodied people who cannot find work, or don't want to work that are on social services should be required to provide labor in another way... cleaning parks, working in other gov't functions, etc. The problem there is the public labor unions will stand in the way of that.

In the end, I'm looking for responsibility and accountability from both the government and citizens. Because the government hasn't come thorough in either case, the citizens don't either.

I don't find it compelling, I thought it was a joke. About aS ridiculous as Clint Eastwood talking to an empty chair.  I'm not compelled. Sorry.

It's regrettable that ADULTS need to use this type of language.

Just based on the title I won't watch it.  Real class act I bet.

The truth of the matter is.............IT DON'T MATTER who gets elected!!!

The world is practically all socialistic now!!
Capitalism is on it's way OUT!
All countries are already intertwined and connected!
No one is going to change that!

...........they are just all jocking for the political position to govern ALL of it!!!

and yes......................it really won't matter if you get out to vote or not..................REALLY!!

I see a huge difference in the outcome of this election.  It WILL matter to me, but if it's all the same to
your... then don't vote at all.

Not to worry Box--Obama has the state locked.

Rusty--looking at your avatar--are you the next reincarnation of Rusty Warren?  Your righteous indignation to the Samuel Jackson piece amuses me.  Also you must not get out much.  Go the F-ck to Sleep is a book on the realities facing young parents when trying to put their child to sleep.  Like your politics--your world needs to get a little bigger.
