increases in everything they hired more people, assessor is full time, there will be no savings only the maximum allowed increase

You mean the town budget?   You mean a local govt in Schenectady will release the budget before the 11th hour and 59th minute?

When I think of the county, they have that hearing tomorrow night when people can't attend, not that it will make any difference anyway, but they will probably wait until Sunday about 11 pm at night to release it?

And how about Schenectady city.   McC won't want to release his budget until after his home buying festival because for sure he is not going to want to be  meeting with people, people who he wants to encourage to buy a house IN the city, and have to address them with, "well, we are $34 million in debt, we aren't paying principal on the garage, we will hold the "taxes" down but increase the fees so your tax BILL will probably be increased by 20%."

Look at the jerk, on TV, just blaming the people that don't pay taxes.   If he didn't make the homeowners pay the downtown taxes on top of their own taxes, maybe people could afford to pay the taxes.

When are the dems going to relaize the homeowners CANNOT afford to pay Proctors property taxes, and the taxes of the Hilton Family, and the taxes of the billionaire Paul Mtichell, the rich bakers, the gin mills, the theaters, etc. etc.

When they have to cram a tax increase down your throat and there is no election, then they do it early so it is farther away from the next election and further from the idiot public's mind

Budget=2 percentish tax increase. No overturning the tax cap. Today was the last day they could have done it.

Once again --- I am VERY proud of the to-die-for Harry Buffardi and his terrific team of winning councilpersons. They DID what the nayboobs and their ilk said they couldn't do.
