Take a moment to remember, or say a silent prayer, for the hundreds of innocent people that lost their lives on this morning, 11 years ago, in NY, PA and Washington DC.

Never let our children forget what happened on American soil on that awful day.

...and remind our our children to never allow the politicians to use this tradedy to justify open ended undeclared wars killing tens of thousands if not hundreds of thousand of more innocent people.  Those innocent people are being killed in their names and all of our names under the colors of the flag.

Well, I guessed BoxOfStats or Cicero would be the first to make this political ... I was right.  Thanks for respecting what happened.

At 8:46 AM, in New York City and at the White House in Washington DC, there was a moment of silence to remember when the first plane hit the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. In New York, the NYPD, FDNY, Port Authority Police and the families of the victims were present, while in Washington the President and the First Lady led the moment.

The cable networks all carried it, with ABC’s “Good Morning America” and “CBS This Morning” carrying it as well. The only national general news program to not carry the moment of silence was NBC’s ‘Today,” which, in an odd bit of counter-programming, opted to air an interview with “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star Kris Jenner, who talked about the new season of the reality show, and her breast implants.

After the moment of silence ended, ABC went right to an interview with actor Richad Gere, while CBS went straight into a commercial break.

It isn't political?  What happened on 9/11 is PURELY POLITICAL and government policy.  9/11 wasn't a natural disaster like a hurricane or tornado.

Suffice to say that America LOVES all of the First Responders, and PARTICULARLY adores the wonderful young men and women in uniform who died that very day to save others and protect our freedom.. NO nayboob can take away America's admiration of them, EVER. To those who want to KNOCK our officials and public servants: GFY.

You simply cannot respect anyone but yourself...why couldn't you just leave this a a respect thread instead of having to interject your political rhetoric. Remembering those that died in 9/11 should be just that and NOTHING ELSE!

It's a message board.  RELAX!  Have a beer.

Please, stop with telling me how to worship the national tragedy and the continued tragedies committed against the brown people around the world in response to the 9/11 tragedy.  The greatest tragedy was against the U.S. Constitution and the American people's freedoms.  But - "never forget"

After this generation is gone........no one will even take notice of 9/11. Just like pearl harbor........just like the assassination of lincoln and jfk. It becomes lost in the history books.

Vietnam...?????
WWI.....?????

what about all of those innocent who lost their lives.........AND FOR WHAT????

Generations later and ..................... THE KILLING CONTINUES!!!!

Like I said ...you have no respect...you are simply a self-absorbed jacka$$. Be thankful that you or your loved ones were not impacted by this tragedy and just try for one moment to have respect for those that did. Why is that so hard. Eve Mitt Romney refused to politicize this day.

Blah..Blah...blah...discussing the politics of the 9/11 attacks and the government reaction to the attack isn't a sign of disrespect.  That is just some unwritten rule you made up, or a military rule that stops soldiers from questioning WHY the brothers and sisters are dying in senseless wars. As if a moment of silence brings back the lives lost.  I think the anniversary should be a day to remind people what happened, how it happened, why it happened.

When is the Oklahoma City Bombing anniversary and day of remembrance?

To all those that lost loved ones, and those affected by this tragedy, our prayers are with you......and I apologize that you have to be exposed to people like Cicero that have no respect for anything or anyone that doesn't advance their personal agenda.
WE WILL NEVER FORGET !!!!
