“I promise 100% transparency in my administration.”.
“I promise NO NEW TAXES on a family making less than $250K a year.”.
“I will allow 5 days of public comment before I sign any bills.”.
“I will remove earmarks from PORK projects before I sign any bill.”.
“I will end Income Tax for seniors making less than $50K a year.”.
"I will bring ALL of our troops home within ONE year."
“I’ll put the Health Care negotiations on CSPAN so everyone can see who is at the table!”.
“I’ll have no lobbyists in my administration."
"I'll close Guantanamo."
"I'll resign if I don't cut the deficit in half by the end of four years."
"I'll unite the people of this great country."

None of these were done/accomplished or even attempted .

Fool me once shame on YOU!
Fool me twice shame on ME!

That should get a few people on here riled up a bit.  Have at it

He couldn't fix everything the republitards had broken? What a shocker.

"Mission Accomplished" was said with a straight face also, as were the lies about the weapons of mass destruction, but we can't talk about that, because that would be playing the "blame Bush" card.
The Republicans have hindered any attempt at fixing things, just so they could oust Obama.

Think Bush ruined things? Pray Romney doesn't get in.
Talk about throwing the entire country in reverse.

Romney has gots to go!!!!

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

Romney has already said that he wants to increase defense spending by 2.1TRILLION.
Seriously, I'm not kidding.

The defense department is the undisputed KING of wasteful spending.

Well we certainly don't need any more money thrown at companies like Solyndra where the taxpayer is left holding the bag, or a bailout of another company like GM where the taxpayer is losing 18 billion, or giving money to Petrobras to drill deep water wells for oil while our industry is banned from drilling.Allowing the EPA, Tsa, HSA, and the rest of the created government agencies to pass  more regulations that restrict the countries ability to create jobs. Defense budget should be reduced but not to the point that we can't defend the country.

Defense budget should be reduced? Forget about Willard then and vote for Ron Paul.

In order to cut the enormous debt all programs will have to be reduced including SS, Medicare/Medicaid, and the rest of entitlement programs.

Nope!
Eliminate the tax cut for the rich... cut defense spending, reduce the tax rate while eliminating the top
income limit so that a much smaller rate is paid by all... but there is no upper limit cut off for  SS,
Medicare/Medicaid.

GM expected to suspend Chevy Volt production over slow sales

By James R. Healey, USA TODAY
CAPTION
By Chevrolet
General Motors is halting, for a month, the manufacture of its well-known but seldom-sold Chevrolet Volt extended-range electric car, according to trade publication Automotive News.

It would be the second interruption in production for the Volt, which can go 38 miles on battery power before needing a recharge from its gasoline engine or via a plug-in.

Here's the Automotive News report:

General Motors plans to idle the plant where it assembles the Chevrolet Volt plug-in hybrid for four weeks starting next month, two people familiar with the plans said.

GM will close its Detroit-Hamtramck plant from Sept. 17 until Oct. 15, one of the sources said. Union representatives last week told the plant's roughly 1,500 workers about the scheduled downtime, the source said.

GM also notified suppliers last week, according to another source in the supply chain.

A GM spokesman wouldn't confirm whether the company planned to idle the plant. "We don't comment on production schedules," the spokesman said. "We continue to match supply and demand."

GM assembles the Volt and recently began making small numbers of the redesigned 2013 Chevrolet Malibu at the Detroit-Hamtramck plant, which straddles both cities' limits.

GM assembled 590 Malibus in June and July, according to the Automotive News Data Center. Most Malibu production is done at GM's Fairfax assembly plant in Kansas City, Kan.

It's the second time this year that GM has throttled back on Volt production. The Detroit-Hamtramck plant was idled from March 19 until April 16 amid swollen Volt inventories.

Eliminating the tax break for the rich will only run the government for 8 days for to small to help very much. I agree with overhauling the whole tax code and eliminating all loopholes so that all especially the rich pay their fair share. Congress was the one who added all the loopholes to satisfy the lobbyists. The real expense is in entitlement spending and unless they are controlled the budget will never get balanced.
