If you can't beat 'em....paper 'em to death and compliance

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

BUMP!

Quoted Text
Supervisor Harry Buffardi said the cost ranges between $1 million and $1.5 million a year — or slightly less than 5 percent of the town’s $20.1 million budget in 2012. Most of that cost is associated with the roughly 18 workers who dedicate time toward hauling away lawn clippings, leaves and assorted brush.

So, if half the town opts out, will that cut the labor force to 1/2 also?

We are advised NOT to judge ALL Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but we are encouraged to judge ALL gun owners by the actions of a few lunatics.   Funny how that works.

So, a logical assumption is there'll be more time to spend at Stewart's every day.  Gotcha!

And what about snow removal, which is probably MORE expensive. Will they start charging a "fee" for that also?

This whole taxes going down idea is one of the things I have a problem with with some of the posters here. Do you really think that if all the tax exempt folks started paying their fair share that your taxes would somehow magically go down? Talk about pipe dreams. That will NEVER, I repeat NEVER, one more time for emphasis, NEVER ever happen. Only in Fairyland and even there the mean-a** Troll guarding the bridge will get his piece of the pie too. I don't have the answer for the mess that we've PUT OURSELVES  in, but I do know this, all together now, TAXES WILL NEVER GO DOWN.

Mrs. Cleaver in her fancy day dress and pearls "Oh Ward, isn't it great that we have yard waste pick up? That gives you
more time to work overtime to pay for the service. Oh! and isn't it great that we have that giant coupon called STAR? This
is such a great land of Oz. I hope nothing ever changes. Your lunch is packed. It's that new kind of meat called pink slime. I
figured if the schools were smart enough to save money, then we could too."

*smooch*smooch*
