If anyone here is a registered Republican, lives in Schenectady County, and would like to get information about working at the polls on election day, please contact me with your contact information.  We have a need for somewhere around a dozen poll workers.

Thanks.

The problem is that folks are tired of the political bullsh!t. And in NYS republicans are pretty much extinct except for the few. It's second next to CA for their 'over the top' liberal policies. NYS has  just placed even MORE mandates on private insurance companies...............IN ADDITION to the federal mandates!!! (just as an example)

The problem with the rep party is that they don't get the print or air time via the media. So when the average folk (dem or rep) needs to go to a government official for help or questions.......they will call a dem cause they are the only ones everyone hears about.

It's two fold...........reps aren't visable or vocal enough.............and if they were...........they wouldn't and couldn't get a media outlet to cover them.

So basically...........NYS is a liberal socialist, dictorial state! Government/union workers outweigh the private sector in leap and bounds..........while a great majority are in the unemployment/welfare lines. It's the largest NANNY state in the country.........and apparently the sheople that are left love it!

The Republican party has had difficult times in the past and made a comeback.  I wouldn't bet against another comeback.

With the right leadership - locally and statewide - it could make a comeback.

the unions have a 'huge' stronghold on the democratic party.(as does the lame stream media) they make for strange bedfellows, but the partnership seemsto work out well for both of them. the democratic party gives the unions whatever they want...and the unions make sure the dems keep getting re-elected and it continually gets played out in the liberal lame stream media.

next, there are too many government jobs, created by the democratic party.

lastly, there are too many folks on the government teet. the democratic party has an addiction of taking hard working taxpayer's money and giving it out, in most cases, where it is not needed.

Oh....and the democratic party also has an addiction to 'mandates' that exceed the federal mandates.

Nah....democrats have NYS sewn up for decades to come. It is a BIG GOVERNMENT, HIGH TAXED, NANNY STATE!
Something that makes the 'real conservative' cringe!!!!

The New York Republican Party holds a majority in the New York State Senate and 8 of the state's 29 U.S. House seats.
When I lived in Mayfield, Fulton County, the number of registered Republicans in the county outnumbered
the Democrats by 2 to 1.
Several mayors throughout NY State are Republicans.
Really Bumble... the problems in NY cities, counties and in NY state in general are both Democrat and
Republican inspired.

philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

Unions have been known to switch sides - when it suits their agenda.  Get the right leadership into the local and state GOP then it will make a comeback.  The Democratic Party is not invincible.

Besides - a democracy works best with a strong TWO (at least) party system.

I agree about a democracy and a multiparty system.....but however strong, however honest, however 'anything'.....they would NEVER get the media coverage....NEVER did and never will! Not to mention that the dems and the unions (which are huge in NYS) are embedded so deep that you can't find it's beginning or it's end!!

Let's see how far GOP backed Quackenbush gets! What union will back what candidate?
