I guess I did give you too much credit.

I don't support parental notification on a trivial, meaningless, procedure like a piercing.  I don't much care
one way or the other.
For an abortion, some teens are forced to undergo a unwanted pregnancy and life sentence of raising a
child because of their parents religious beliefs.
No one should be forced to give birth against their will.

No, you just can't remember what you posted in the thread is all
In this entire thread except in your last post all you did is spout statistics and articles about the dangers of piercing. All those links from a person that "doesn't care one way or another".
That only leaves one explanation...trolling..

There ARE other explanations... you just don't see them.

I understand that piercings are an unnecessary health risk of infection and even death... That is a fact.

It would seem that licensing, regulating and INSPECTING  piercing providers would be a much more
effective system to reduce infections than a parental notification law.

I would view favorably regulating the piercing industry to reduce or eliminate infection and death...
As to parental permission... I don't care one way of the other.
Kids used to use 'ice cube' anesthetic and safety pins to do home made piercings.  A clean piercing
industry would be IMO a better choice.

Wasn't this always the law? Tattoo and piercing shops always ID people if they wanted to get work done

body piercing CAN be life changing if flesh eating bacteria is involved....

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

If memory serves me correct there was a woman who gave birth in a hospital and ended up with flesh eating bacteria too so an abortion and piercings could do the same thing.

You wish to deny parents the right to inflict their values and rules of behavior on under age children?

Until the child comes of age, the parents should be the final decision maker for everything.

Making the child keep an unwanted baby, would only apply until the child comes of age and can put the child up for adoption or give it to the Nazi parents.

Until a child comes of age, her health matters, and even her pregnancy, along with the health and safety of any babies the child has, is still under the jurisdiction of the parents.

Parents should sue the state for infringement of their rights to raise their children as they see fit.

Back alley piercings and tattoos have been done for generations by the kids themselves.

The piercing needles, forceps, pliers and anything else you want are freely available on ebay.
