The Price Chopper project was an agenda item that was discussed at at least 3 meetings --- all of which were open to the public.
Please DV, explain how is it open to the public who work during evenings, like nurses on a second shift, managers and employees in businesses that are open in the evenings?

Tell us WHY the current dems make it difficult???? Why do taxpayers have to take time off from work, make out a FOIL request, and then, pay money for something they have already paid for??????
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.
The minutes might be available as prescribed by law...but let's be honest here. If a resident wants to know what really transpired during the meeting, the Town hasn't made it easy or convenient to do this. One must go during working hours and submit a FOIL request in order to view the minutes. And if the resident wants a copy, then there is a per page charge! Check out the websites of the other towns, cities and villages in this area. Everything is posted ---agenda and minutes -- for all town meetings -- town boards, planning commissions, ZBA's. Rotterdam needs to get with the real world and enter the year 2012! Heck...even the city of Schenectady posts their minutes.
If you feel so strongly about the issue, then you need to bring the issue up at the next Town Board meeting. But the bottomline is that all the meetings are open to the public and all the documents relevant to each matter brought before the commission ARE AVAILABLE to the town residents.
