Box, the statistics are measuring maternal death during child birth.  What the hell does abortion funding have to do with that?  Are you suggesting that the women that died while giving birth were only giving birth because abortion wasn't available?  That is a wild one box.

Wild??? Read the headlines:

There are no words for the heartbreak': Mother forced to give birth at 22
weeks and watch baby die because of new abortion law

Yea Cic... that's a whild one.

It made no difference to the baby (sorry, clump of cells), it was f&cked either way.

YUP!  But it made a huge difference to the mom.

But also it provided a chance for a medical miracle, which an abortion would not provide.
Something I know all too well, personally. We were told our second son would be mentally retarded, not have normal bone structure (cartilage formed instead of bone), and would die before the age of 16. We rolled the dice and decided not to have an abortion, which the hospital pushed us toward. He was born six weeks early, but 19 years later, we have a perfectly healthy son that graduated high school a year ago.

You can call it a miracle, medical misdiagnosis, or anything you want, I could care less. but we wouldn't have him if the abortion was performed.

Danielle Deaver gave birth to one pound, ten ounce Elizabeth last December and could do nothing but hold
and comfort the baby with her husband, Robb, as the newborn struggled to breath and died fifteen
agonizing minutes later.

This wasn't necessary... it was done on purpose for political reasons.  This wasn't a story about a teen mom
wanting an abortion... this women wanted to have a baby... and when that was impossible, the Rabid Right Wing
@ssholes who passed this law forced her to continue her pregnancy...
The Law should force those Right Wing "Right To a Dead Baby" Lifers to sit next to this woman as she goes through
her agony.
Abortion is legal... and this case is a perfect scenario of why women, who dislike Obama, are voting for him
this November.

Wild??? Read the headlines:

Well, here is the headline you posted.
Quoted from Box A Rox
U.S. women are dying from childbirth at the highest rate in decades,

What does that headline have to do with abortion funding?

Ohhhhh...I see what you are doing, you are erecting a strawman argument by changing the argument.  Good choice box, you don't want to talk about maternal mortality rates you posted earlier, it's best you talk about Nebraska.

It's funny to read Cicero's post when the thread doesn't go where HE assumes it's are going.  He seems to get so
lost when a post doesn't get his imagined response.

Sorry Cic, but because my opinions don't agree with yous (Thank God), ya just have to deal with it.

More examples of fallacious arguments...You are putting on a clinic today box.   This post is called ad hominem

An argument based on the perceived failings of an adversary rather than on the merits of the case; a logical fallacy that involves a personal attack.

There are many women who have had their reproductive orgins damaged via abortion. Hopefully they are just the 'parisitic group' that this happens to!
That was the goal from the git go!!

Original post:
A woman died of injuries she received during an abortion at a local Planned Parenthood clinic Friday.

My response:
U.S. women are dying from childbirth at the highest rate in decades.

SO how are these two posts similar... both are about women having babies or abortions to prevent babies.
Both show how dangerous a seemingly safe procedure can be.  Women die from childbirth... women die from
abortion.  Both are rare, and having an abortion has a much lower incidents of the mother dying than from
childbirth.

The original post points out:
"An autopsy done Saturday listed the woman’s cause of death to be hemorrhage"

My response shows a similar statistic:
"Excessive bleeding is one of the leading causes of pregnancy-related death"

Obviously the two posts are different (most are) but both are on a related topic (as most posts are).

Cic seems to have a problem following the entire thread... and seems to think he has some 'gotcha moment
here'.  I have no idea why.

Well, you were making an argument for the cause of the rise in maternal mortality rate.  Your premise was to blame Bush(go figure) for cutting abortion funding.  Once that was blown out of the water for such a ridiculous argument, you set up your strawman.

The "PARASITIC GROUP"???... since one in 5 American women have abortions, Bumbler seems to have just
insulted 20% of our female population.
Does Bumbler think that only poor women have abortions?
Does he think that only minorities have abortions?

His misogyny is showing.

It's not a "gotcha" moment, I pointed out that after hundreds of millions in federal money going to Planned Parenthood, that the maternal mortality rate is actually INCREASING.  You are the person that makes the claim about all the good planned parenthood does, I just pointed out that over the past 35 years of Planned Parenthood services and the Roe V Wade decision, the maternal mortality rate is increasing.  I guess you could make the argument that it would be WORSE without Planned Parenthood.  That's always an argument for the statists about a failed program.

At the same time that PP funds is decreasing by GOP design.  HUH... PP gets their funds
cut and women die... See it now?

There is no abortion provider left in the state of Mississippi.  The GOP War on Women is quite
successful.  IF a Mississippi woman who has a dangerous pregnancy... her dr tells her she may die if
she carries to term... she has not one abortion provider in the state.
Yea... the lack of PP facilities may kill her.
