Oh, you mean government law officers?

I'm quite sure that's how you see it Cicero...  YOU are the only sane one in an insane country.

My opinion is, the government either accept their citizens will own all kinds of weapons and yes , there will be tragedies along with this freedom.  OR, they attempt to take the weapons and deal with the illegal arms trade that would flood the country arming the anti government militias that would ultimately organize after government restrictions of guns.  There would be nothing Russia or China would like more than to arm a civil uprising in the United State.

Nah...There are a lot of people waking up to the insanity.  The United States incarceration rate is the highest in the world, and the totalitarians wonder why people react violently when their own government puts them in a cage.  They wonder why people react they way the do to government disarming citizens. The United States is actively firing missiles from drones in 6 Countries(that we know of) killing innocent women and children.  From the mid 20th century to now, the United State government is probably the most violent nation on earth.  The U.S. not only exerts government force over seas against citizens of other nations, it also exerts that force same force against it's own citizens.

The U.S. government views everybody is a criminal and everybody is an enemy.  Most Americans couldn't make it through a day without violating a federal law.

Planes fall out of the sky in the USA at about the same rate as every where else on earth...
How about gun deaths???

Suppose planes fell out of the sky in the USA at about 9000 times the rate of other countries...
would that be acceptable????

Hmm.

NO .... that would be by the choice of the pilot/air traffic controllers .... as is the use of a gun and steak knives and
shovels and chain saws and nail guns etc etc etc......

Box says "paranoia".

Top 7 Incarceration Rate Per Capita by Nation.
Quoted Text
# 1 United States: 715 per 100,000 people
# 2 Russia: 584 per 100,000 people
# 3 Belarus: 554 per 100,000 people
# 4 Palau: 523 per 100,000 people
# 5 Belize: 459 per 100,000 people
# 6 Suriname: 437 per 100,000 people
# 7 Dominica: 420 per 100,000 people

We even win total prison population, beating China, who has 4 times as many people as the U.S.

Quoted Text
# 1 United States: 2,019,234 prisoners
# 2 China: 1,549,000 prisoners
# 3 Russia: 846,967 prisoners
# 4 India: 313,635 prisoners
# 5 Brazil: 308,304 prisoners
# 6 Thailand: 213,815 prisoners
# 7 Ukraine: 198,386 prisoners

The U.S. government preaches to other nations about civil rights violations, and we have more American citizens sitting in cages than Communist China and former Communist Russia.

I guess it's true - if you tell a big enough lie over and over again, people begin to believe it and actually repeat the lie as if it true.

I'm not paranoid Box, you are just delusional.  You continue to drink the American freedom Kool Aid, despite the fact of a record prison population.  That is not to mention the indefinite detainees sitting in Guantanamo and the Presidential 'kill list'.

Well, there has to be a line where certain weapons are  illegal. For instance you don't want your neighbor having chemical weapons or tank in their yard. At the same time gun control is a limitation on freedom. I can see both sides of this argument. I guess I agree with the mayor, hunting rifles, and pistols for self protection seem logical. Semi automatic assault rifles don't. They are specifically designed to kill large numbers of people fast.

Switzerland issues all citizens that become adults a fully automatic rifle. Their homeland security consists of the citizenry.

Switzerland has 68 gun related murders a year.

Chicago alone has over 500 and they have the strictest gun laws in the US.

The citizens are armed, preventing outside forces from entering and taking control.

The US spends trillions hiring paid gunmen to protect us.

That includes the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, Homeland Security, Border Patrol Agents, The ATF, The CIA, The NSA, Department of Justice, Drug Enforcement Administration, United States Marshals Service, Federal Air Marshal Service, United States Coast Guard, United States Immigration and Customs Enforcement, United States Secret Service, Transportation Security Administration (TSA), Federal Protective Service, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Fisheries Office for Law Enforcement, Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigations Division, United States Treasury Police, Defense Criminal Investigative Service, Pentagon Force Protection Agency, United States Army Criminal Investigation Division, United States Army Military Police Corps, Air Force Office of Special Investigations, Air Force Security Forces, Department of the Air Force Police, Naval Criminal Investigative Service, Office of Naval Intelligence Police, Marine Corps Provost Marshal's Office, U.S. Forest Service Law Enforcement and Investigations, Bureau of Land Management Office of Law Enforcement & Security, National Park Rangers, United States Park Police, U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service Office of Law Enforcement, Federal Reserve Police, Library of Congress Police, United States Probation Service, United States Supreme Court Police, Veterans Affairs Police and The National Guard, The Air National Guard, the list is endless.

Then on the state and local levels:

NYS Government departments

New York State Department of Corrections and Community Supervision
New York State Department of Environmental Conservation Police
New York State Division of Alcoholic Beverage Control
New York State Division of Criminal Justice Services
New York State Division of Parole
New York State Division of Probation and Correctional Alternatives
New York State Police
New York State DMV Division of Field Investigations

Other state agencies

New York State Bridge Authority Police
New York State Court Officers
New York State Office for the Prevention of Domestic Violence
New York State Office of Children and Family Services
New York State Forest Rangers
New York State Office of Mental Health Police
New York State Office of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities Police
New York State Office of Tax Enforcement
New York State Park Police
New York State Special Commission of Investigation
Roosevelt Island Public Safety Department
Metropolitan Transportation Authority Police
Port Authority of New York
State University of New York Police
Triborough Bridge and Tunnel Authority Police
Waterfront Commission of New York Harbor Police

Schenectady County Sheriff's Office
Schenectady Police Department
Scotia Police
Rotterdam Police
Glenville Police
Niskayuna Police

Yet with trillions spent, one guy can terrorize any city, town, or village at any moment.

Does anyone actually feel safe and protected.

I would like to be protected from those who take my money by force to create this network of redundancy and waste.

We are the most militarized nation of law enforcement personnel in the world.

We have more people in prison per capita than anyone, by far.

We have overlapping agencies that are complete failures.

We spend more on law enforcement than most of the countries of the world spend on their entire budgets.

Then along comes Tim McViegh, the unibomber, Columbine, Virginia Tech, etc.

Law enforcement can't keep anyone safe except themselves.

I wish every one of my neighbors had automatic weapons, hand guns and whatever else they could afford.

We wouldn't need a police department at all.

the government saying/mandating etc fear of gun ownership PLACES FEAR IN THE HEARTS of it's citizens....

it's as if they are afraid of their neighbors because 'the government told me so'....'I believe as a good citizen I should give up
my gun so that my crazy neighbor will too, as will the criminals. I will lead by example.'

putting fear/self doubt into the citizenry is CRIMINAL....shame on leaders...shame shame shame.....

I always wanted to go hunting with a RPG.  It would cut down on the misses and wounded animals (so very
humane) and it would save time by killing the prey, gutting and skinning it all in one easy process.
