Rats in a cage
very fat rats, with gilded cages
full of want but overloaded with possessions

Same old song
Just a drop of water in an endless sea
All we do
Crumbles to the ground, though we refuse to see
Dust in the wind
All we are is dust in the wind...
And who made the wind?
George Worst Bush, of course!

who made the wind you ask?

certainly not Bush....

DVOR FARTED....

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.

The idea of militia's standing up to our government seems silly to me. This isn't the 1800's and this isn't a fantasy world. The CIA and FBI would have the whole group locked up in days and these groups having automatic weapons is just gonna raise the body count if someone touches a trigger. There's no reason for people to own assault rifles, heck even our government can't keep track of them responsibly, and we know trust every Tom, Dick and Harry not to go out shooting up whatever's bugging them... Anyways I'm sure that's not a popular opinion on here, but it is my two cents and I'm bored.

Aurora Shooting: Panic Prompts Surge In Gun Sales After Colo. Movie Theater Massacre
By MIKE BAKER and KRISTEN WYATT 07/25/12 03:33 PM ET

DENVER -- Firearms sales are surging in the wake of the Colorado movie massacre as buyers express fears about both personal safety and lawmakers who are using the shooting to seek new weapons restrictions.

In Colorado, the site of Friday's shooting that killed 12 and injured dozens of others, gun sales jumped in the three days that followed. The state approved background checks for 2,887 people who wanted to purchase a firearm – 25 percent more than the average Friday to Sunday period in 2012 and 43 percent more than the same interval the week prior....................>>>>..................>>>>..................http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/07/25/aurora-shooting-panic-pro_n_1703402.html

Gun carrying man ends stabbing spree at Salt Lake grocery store

SALT LAKE CITY (ABC 4 News) - A citizen with a gun stopped a knife wielding man as he began stabbing people Thursday evening at the downtown Salt Lake City Smith's store.

Police say the suspect purchased a knife inside the store and then turned it into a weapon. Smith's employee Dorothy Espinoza says, "He pulled it out and stood outside the Smiths in the foyer. And just started stabbing people and yelling you killed my people. You killed my people."

Espinoza says, the knife wielding man seriously injured two people. "There is blood all over. One got stabbed in the stomach and got stabbed in the head and held his hands and got stabbed all over the arms."

Then, before the suspect could find another victim - a citizen with a gun stopped the madness. "A guy pulled gun on him and told him to drop his weapon or he would shoot him. So, he dropped his weapon and the people from Smith's grabbed him."

By the time officers arrived the suspect had been subdued by employees and shoppers. Police had high praise for gun carrying man who ended the hysteria. Lt. Brian Purvis said, "This was a volatile situation that could have gotten worse. We can only assume from what we saw it could have gotten worse. He was definitely in the right place at the right time."

Dozens of other shoppers, who too could have become victims, are also thankful for the gun carrying man. And many, like Danylle Julian, are still in shock from the experience. "Scary actually. Really scary. Five minutes before I walk out to my car. It could have been me."

Police say right now they have no idea what caused the suspect to go on the dangerous rampage. (We will update as soon as we learn new information.)

So far, police have not released the names of the suspect, the victims or the man who pulled the gun.

Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms should be the name of a convenience store - not some silly government agency.

I am happy someone gets it. Guns are for killing and for keeping people free from enslavement from tyrants. Ask G. Washington if you don't get it.

The problem is America has too many crazies

Your July 23 editorial cartoon, which had the verbiage “Sane Gun Laws,” is the same liberal attack as usual against people who, for whatever reason, have a legal desire to own fi rearms.
The truth of the matter is, there are so many “sane gun laws” on the books, you could never count them all. What is missing is to have sane people, which we obviously do not.
From teenagers killing teenagers in Amsterdam for what unknown reason, to the tragic killings in a movie theater, to whatever, the list goes on.
Sane people do not commit these acts of violence; glory seeking, power hungry, drug addicted, mentally unstable people do. Try having laws against that.

Who cares what he wrote, he was correct on his definition and reason of the 2nd amendment, he didn't try to sugar coat it unlike many try to do by saying it is about hunting or whatever fake propaganda they heard. In the interview which I posted he said he would give up his gun when everyone else does, so let the government lead by example, have them disarm the police and military and other agencies. Yeah I know you think that is crazy talk but if they don't what they're saying is they're above the law and rules don't apply to them.

There goes anti-gun crowd, half-cocked

Re Edmond Day’s July 25 letter, “Yes, control access to guns, but do it sensibly”:
Frankly I am disgusted by his remarks on who is entitled to own or handle a fi rearm.
For instance, say my son has a form of autism or multiple sclerosis, which are “mental illnesses.” Why should he be denied his Second Amendment right to hunt or participate at our local sportsman’s club with his father, mother, grandfather, etc. There are state-mandated hunter education classes and firearms safety courses, and also permits [required] to carry a handgun.
Or maybe my son is a returning vet and has post-traumatic stress disorder from the Iraq war; should he be denied? If so, then why did he sacrifice his sanity for Day?
I find it discriminatory and sad that illinformed people are making remarks about subjects they seem to have absolutely no knowledge of.

Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia said  Sunday the Second Amendment leaves open the possibility of gun-control legislation, adding to what has become a slow-boiling debate on the issue since the Colorado movie theater massacre earlier this month.

Scalia, one of the high court’s most conservative justices, said on “Fox News Sunday” that the majority opinion in the landmark 2008 case of District of Columbia v. Heller stated the extent of gun ownership “will have to be decided in future cases.”

“We’ll see,” he said.
