everyone knows we don't live in a democracy....sh!t as long as I can stand in line, pardon me, I mean drive-thru some
fast food joint with my overweight lazy self, then drive through the local 'legal drug dealer' and get my zocor and prevacid and
insulin and blood pressure med, and then be able to get my nys lotto ticket account up to date on-line...I'm good to go...

who the Fu(k needs anything/one other than Daddy Bloomberg and the likes....

because in 'the end' hospice is waiting to 'catch me'.....

although I should consider myself lucky I don't fit into a movie theater seat, otherwise I could be killed in a movie theater by
my communist neighbor...*tic* (just in case you couldn't figure it out)

there's no hospice involved when:

car accident
plane crash
drowning
suicide
murder
skiing accidents
aneurysm
cardiac death
etc etc etc

what makes any other death more important????????

Because they are fast, and there isn't any of the endless suffering and agony that is usually associated with a long, painful death, or reading one of your posts.

grieving goes on....they claim they are there for the grievers...NOT the patient because that's what the drugs are for....

your MD can drug the person suffering....right up to the point where the family is at peace 'knowing they are quiet' which
they equate with lack of suffering.....

Senders if you know anything about medical care, you surely know that your statement is incorrect:

"there's no hospice involved when:
car accident
plane crash
drowning
suicide
murder
skiing accidents
aneurysm
cardiac death
etc etc etc"

... patients often linger for months or even years before death.  Hospice would be very much involved
for those patients who want it.
Dealing with families grief is also part of what Hospice is good at providing.  (and it's usually free)

philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

it makes me wonder how we got this far....I'm NOT discrediting Hospice...what I am trying to get across is that is a
form of medical 'pink slime'.....

I have seen folks 'graduate' from Hospice....that's how precise medicine is.....

they have their place...but for it to 'live' by itself outside of you and your MD decisions because the MD is afraid to
treat because of government/people accusations is ridiculous.....

my guess is that the 1%ers don't use hospice....they have private hire....hospice is another way of saying
"yes, you have value, here's your gold watch, of course it's only plated."

again, I'm not discrediting it....but to say that living with MS/diabetes/CP etc etc isn't a death sentence then why is
cancer any different or the last few days any different in one's life....

I'm just trying to have folks see that 'yes, you ARE capable and you are not alone, and this is NORMAL.'
don't let some bureaucratic system label every F'EN thing we do or don't do so that $$ drives our conversations to
the extent that it becomes our validation.

even the 'experts' aren't experts.....

people ARE equipped to 'take care' and people DO deal in their own ways and it IS acceptable to act/do whatever
however you choose when 'taking care' of a dying person....

it used to be folks 'church groups'/community were the hospice......

not anymore......then they 'organized'

...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......

You don't really know what that word means, do you?

Please enlighten me...What is the economic philosophy of Fascism? (Please don't give me a dictionary entry.)

Communism - The common ownership of the means of production.
Socialsim - The common ownership of the means of production.
Fascism - ?????????????????????????????

Olbermann calls Bush a FASCIST because of FISA!!!

Obama SUPPORTS Bush FASCIST FISA Bill.(watch Olbermann rhetorically change his tone toward Obama's support of the FASCIST FISA Law.)

Cic doesn't want a "dictionary entry"... I guess he wants us to do what he does... make up a meaning!

I'll give Cic a variety of "dictionary entries" and he can see if any fit his preconceived meanings.

Fascism:
~ a governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition
and criticism, regimenting all industry, commerce, etc., and emphasizing an aggressive nationalism
and often racism.

~     any ideology or movement inspired by Italian Fascism, such as German National Socialism; any
right-wing nationalist ideology or movement with an authoritarian and hierarchical structure that is
fundamentally opposed to democracy and liberalism

~     any ideology, movement, programme, tendency, etc, that may be characterized as right-wing,
chauvinist, authoritarian, etc
~     prejudice in relation to the subject specified

~ the political movement, doctrine, system, or regime of Benito Mussolini in Italy, which encouraged
militarism and nationalism, organizing the country along hierarchical authoritarian lines

Cultural Dictionary
fascism
~A system of government that flourished in Europe from the 1920s to the end of World War II.
Germany under Adolf Hitler, Italy under Mussolini, and Spain under Franco were all fascist states.
As a rule, fascist governments are dominated by a dictator, who usually possesses a magnetic
personality, wears a showy uniform, and rallies his followers by mass parades; appeals to strident
nationalism; and promotes suspicion or hatred of both foreigners and “impure” people within his
own nation, such as the Jews in Germany. Although both communism and fascism are forms of
totalitarianism, fascism does not demand state ownership of the means of production, nor is
fascism committed to the achievement of economic equality. In theory, communism opposes
the identification of government with a single charismatic leader (the “ cult of personality”),
which is the cornerstone of fascism. Whereas communists are considered left-wing, fascists
are usually described as right-wing.

philosophy; that is, the search for a superior moral justification for selfishness.

hospice has EVERYTHING to do with billing.........

THINK NOT OTHERWISE....it's not fascist, communist or anything.....

it's billing used as a smoke screen by those in support of national health'care'.....

the boomers have had free reign..(not to mention I've heard their kids talk like it's their $$) to place their folks....the government
national health'care' will not allow such to happen....either your dying or your rehabing....those will be the choices for
the government system....

cash will get you an a$$ washer/companion.......so the boomers will now get to live with their kids or alone or in an apartment
with 'visitors' we will call 'family replacements'......

WELCOME TO ONE AND ALL!!!!

the facilities will of course accept cash payments from any a$$hole who thinks they are 'all that' and those on hospice OR
rehab....

all are billable and legit.....

get edumacated and DO NOT be ignorant of it........

Hey box, was Olbermann correct to call Bush a fascist?  Fascism was freely tossed around by the lefties while Bush was president.  Obama mirrors the same "fascist" policies, BUT suddenly it is not fascism.

Oh, and BTW,  Olbermann was correct in defining FISA as fascism.  To bad those words came back to haunt him.  That is why MSNBC-GE had to cut him loose.  His words were a liability.

What is hilarious is, box cries about the citizens united ruling, then argues that corporations don't own the government.  Too funny.

Depends on your definition of free.  It's all paid for.  It's a matter of who is paying for it.  If not you, then who?  If not now, then when?  And if not you and not now, then I would guess your answer would be what, WHO CARES, SINCE IT'S NOT ME AND NOT NOW?  That's how we got this wonderful little thing they added digits to the other year.  It's called the FEDERAL DEFECIT.

There may be some rational thought in Cicero's post, but it jumps around so much it's hard to follow what
he's whining about today.

Some thoughts:
~Hey box, was Olbermann correct to call Bush a fascist?
I don't know.  Keith doesn't speak for me.

~Fascism was freely tossed around by the lefties while Bush was president.  Obama mirrors the
same "fascist" policies, BUT suddenly it is not fascism.
Both Obama and Bush brush their teeth every morning... so if one is a fascist and brushes his
teeth, does that make the other a fascist too?  Maybe in your view, not mine.

~That is why MSNBC-GE had to cut him loose.  His words were a liability.
YUP!

~What is hilarious is, box cries about the citizens united ruling, then argues that corporations
don't own the government.
Way off on this one...  I do think that citizens united is wrong... so you are correct on that part.
I FEAR that corporations will or already do own the government.  On that you're dead wrong.
