Dan Garrow, who owns Garrow Landscaping, a Rotterdam based business located in the refurbished Wingate public library, has been voluntarily cleaning up inkept properties throughout Rotterdam.
This made some posters heads explode, as they felt it inappropriate for a Rotterdam based business to put up a sign displaying the name of the business who voluntarily has been cleaning up the problem areas, that they themselves have been complaining about.
Alias took it upon himself to tear down the signs that he saw and leave them there to blow into the roadway.
One poster accuse Dan of trying to buy votes. Dan Garrow ran for an unpaid school board position in Schenectady County a couple months back.
Again, volunteer work.
Nothing but criticism and outrage at his volunteerism.
Dan works a full time job, plus runs his own Rotterdam based small business, and still manages to perform work for free.
He does not deserve the massive bashing he received yesterday.

Really, you created a road hazard, and sometime you may wander over and leave it in another spot to blow into the road again.
You are not the owner of the property or the signs.
You are just an angry mean spirited person that can't accept that someone is just trying to help the town look better.
You think he is welcome to clean up your whined about mess, but shouldn't be allowed to put his sign there showing that it was done by him.

yep, and I'm not sure which is more annoying the freakin' political signs that make their way there or the blatant attempt for attention by claiming to perform a public service whilst trying to drum up business for personal gain.............whatever happened to advertising in the newspaper or tv or radio or business cards.....word of mouth for a job well done..........................and just to reiterate it was a half-assed job he moved the trash from one triangle to private property............oh and btw I did thank him for making the attempt and saving me the expense of buyng the tools to do the job myself anonymously .....he just did a lousy job
