You should see the stuff being set off on Hamilton Hill right now, I'm talking professional grade stuff. I wish people could see the cloud of smoke lingering over the entire neighborhood

I had to go inside, my eyes started burning from the smoke and I smell like I just got back from the gun range

Oh comon ... it CANT be ... SPD is on top of all illegal activity in the city, they'd be making a BUNCH of arrests if this were true.  It'd probably fill a full page in the Gazette!

Yup it was ALOT of fireworks, coming from every direction. I believe it would rival Albany's show. Seriously it was like the "grand finale" but went on for quite some time. I was just alittle concerned about how dry it is out, the grass in the park looks and smells like hay    The same families put them on, can't imagine how much money was spent but it was beautiful : )

Ditto on Northside/Stockade/Mt P. When there is absolutely no City display expect private citizens to fill the vacuum. The SPD could not possibly response to the flood of calls.

Wait till Visitor gets back to his keyboard, he'll tell us that there were only a few, spotty, calls about fireworks.

Can't wait to see if he/she replies to this one.

WOW!  You mean there is lots of illegal fireworks in the hands of private citizens in Schenectady?  Amazing!

I bet this is a problem that only happens in Schenectady, and that there is no other city in our area where
this problem exists!

Wow, I drove down state st. last night at 9:30 and I have never seen anything like it! Large and frequent blasts in all directions. Pretty crazy how these people live in low income areas, but have the dough to put on an awesome fireworks show. Seems law enforcement is overwhelmed by it, and I'm ok with that.

When I travel to other state where it is legal I partake casually in bottle rockets and what not if I'm there around the 4th. I don't mess with firecrackers much anymore because I no longer get amused by fireworks that much. I also like to be in compliance with the law here since I am not in the majority party which means I have a bullseye on me. This is the new Nazi land. I have seen some great displays and Albany is not one of them, and anything some neighbor can do with 200 bucks worth of stuff aint that impressive to me. Maybe I am jaded.

"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
