The great American Nation, finally free from England, who rightfully massacred the original Great Americans.
The original Americans weren't allowed to vote for who got to eradicate them. They didn't have the proper voter id papers.
The history of America is nothing to be proud of.
We were the first illegals.
Good thing today's illegals don't just kill today's native inhabitants and take over.
Wave the flag over the bones of those that were slaughtered to make room for you.
Where the hell is Native American remembrance day?
If you feel that strongly, you should donate all your worldly posessions and bind yourself into slavery to a nice American Indian community of your choosing, to make amends.
As far as I'm concerned, we gained this land through right of conquest. The Indians should have had better tactics and weapons.
"Approval ratings go up and down for various reasons... An example is the high post 911 support for GWB even though he could be said to be responsible for the event." --- Box A Rox '9/11 Truther'
Melania is a bimbo... she is there to look at, not to listen to. --- Box A Rox and his 'War on Women'
Personally, we are so used to celebrating Independence Day on the 4th that it would seem odd to celebrate it any other day ----- most Americans are unaware that the 4th of July is NOT exactly the day that the 13 Colonies declared their independence. The resolution to declare independence was approved on July 2, 1776, then on July 4 they voted to read the declaration publicly and have a number of copies printed up and - even the actual signing of the declaration is in dispute - with the only agreement that the actual "group signing" by most of the 56 was on August 2 with most of the 56 delegates signing one of the printed copies of the original declaration.
Memorial Day was not always on May 30 - in the early days after the Civil War it was celebrated as early as April 25 and as late as June 15.
Columbus Day is not officially recognized in 3 states - South Dakota, Alaska and Hawaii. Hawaii celebrates Discovers Day, instead. Minnesota used to celebrate Discovers Day instead of Columbus Day until it caved into "group think" fallacy about which European first arrived in the Americas. Of course - now there is a politically correct movement to cease recognizing or celebrating Columbus or any dead European who risked life and limb to cross the ocean and explore these "lands across the western ocean".
BTW - the legal name for the Federal holiday in February is Washington's Birthday NOT Presidents' Day as the retailers took to calling the day and the weekend.
Oh -- for my response to the survey -- keep celebrating it on the 4th of July and if Congress gets any stupid idea to change it otherwise -- throw the bums out.

"For this is what America is all about. It is the uncrossed desert and the unclimbed ridge. It is the star that is not reached and the harvest that is sleeping in the unplowed ground." Lyndon Baines Johnson

America considers itself a nation every day as they pledge their allegiance to it.
There is nothing anti Libertarian about condemning the use of force against the original Great Americans.
The invading hordes used force to enter this land, used force to hold elections legalizing themselves as the new owners.
You should stand up and scream "we are not a nation" every time you hear the pledge.
Actually, when I am in a place where the Pledge of Allegiance is spoken, I actually leave out "One Nation," as it's a part that I disagree with. On that same wavelength, I also leave out "Indivisible," as I believe this is inappropriate in the pledge, also.
Nah...I don't feel like getting tear gassed, pepper sprayed and tasered today. Public protest of the government will get a night stick up a persons a** now-a-days. You know that Buck, you cheer the government thugs on- as they violently crush all dissent. All "great Americans" support that - along with bombing Middle Eastern nations, and droning Americans citizens.
isn't this why this country was formed - ironic - it only took 236 years to return to our roots - with most if it happening in the last 80 years

but they weren't Americans.....they were natives.....native to what we called America.... kind of like an aborted fetus(right Box?) CHOICE/INTELLECT/REASON/LOGIC
sounds like the America that I have grown up in---life is just that bizarre
...you are a product of your environment, your environment is a product of your priorities, your priorities are a product of you......
The replacement of morality and conscience with law produces a deadly paradox.
STOP BEING GOOD DEMOCRATS---STOP BEING GOOD REPUBLICANS--START BEING GOOD AMERICANS

Wow, he know how to search for things on the internet? But he can't seem to have success searching the internet for details about Schenectady. Oh, perhaps he does find them, but then he refuses to post them because it proves he lies and that we tell the truth.
Optimists close their eyes and pretend problems are non existent. Better to have open eyes, see the truths, acknowledge the negatives, and speak up for the people rather than the politicos and their rich cronies.

I recall many great July 4th Holidays on Sacandaga as a kid ( there were so many boats and jetskis on the lake that day I termed it the Froth of July and it stuck in my mind that way ever since) and it never mattered if there was a 3 day weekend or what./ People will find a way to celebrate when it falls mid-week or on a Friday or Monday and they like it better when it on a Thursday bc they can manage a 4 day weekend if things line up nicely. I say leave it alone and enjoy it when ever it falls. Everything does not circulate around three day weekends. If this is the case then make Thanksgiving on Friday and Christmas too. What bullschit these journos have to drum up. They are sickening.
"While Foreign Terrorists were plotting to murder and maim using homemade bombs in Boston, Democrap officials in Washington DC, Albany and here were busy watching ME and other law abiding American Citizens who are gun owners and taxpayers, in an effort to blame the nation's lack of security on US so that they could have a political scapegoat."
