Katie's Cruise kidnap fear as 'Scientology' goons eye building By C.J. SULLIVAN , IAN MOHR and LARRY CELONA Last Updated: 5:37 AM, July 2, 2012 Posted: 2:37 AM, July 2, 2012
She’s a prisoner in her own home.
Katie Holmes fears she can’t take one step without a Scientology goon following her every move in a heavy- handed intimidation attempt, multiple sources close to the actress told The Post yesterday.
The pretty actress last night was holed up in her Chelsea pad — terrified that soon-to-be-ex-hubby Tom Cruise might kidnap their little girl, law-enforcement sources said.
Holmes told another building resident of her abduction fear — and that neighbor called police on Friday, sources said.
But without Holmes phoning in the report herself — and Cruise known to be 2,600 miles away shooting a movie in Iceland — police couldn’t take any action.
Managers at Holmes’ plush Seventh Avenue building, though, have been put on alert for Cruise or any strangers who might want to get inside, the sources said.
Holmes, who filed for divorce from superstar Scientologist actor Cruise last week, knew this was coming, the sources said.
“Katie saw all the pressure. They [Scientologists] are professionals at pressuring people to be quiet,” said a friend of the actress after her bombshell divorce filing in Manhattan last week. “That’s why she did this [filed for divorce] in secret.”
A team of beefy armed men parked themselves in a white Cadillac Escalade outside Holmes’ place all day yesterday, snapping pictures of people outside the building and demanding to know who they were..............................>>>>.................>>>>.............Read more: http://www.nypost.com/p/news/national/cruise_god_squad_XHTokIuxX47ZHdFlsVbhBJ#ixzz1zSfddWTr
Correct, notify us when Tom has a fight, takes the SUV out and crashes into a neighbor's house drunk.
Hardly anybody even understands Scientology.
I get it, it's based on Dianetics, which I read over 20 years ago. The belief is that you remember everything in your life, and that you choose to block painful experiences out instead of learning from your mistakes. Through normal talking sessions they attempt to "clear" you simply by remembering the blocked out thoughts. The goal is to allow you to remember your own genetic code for producing a healthy human. They claim it can restore hair color, cure diseases and cancers, etc. Dianetics auditing is based on actual works by Freud and others.
Seems pretty harmless so far. Then they take these beliefs claiming everyone can remember everything, even from before they were born. Their parents lives, back to the point of your own conception, past lives, past people etc, all the way back to the mother ship that brought us all here.
Add in the taking of your worldly possessions, the cult status, kidnapping and you have today's Church of Scientology.
First of all, being reincarnated space invaders isn't a religion. Holding people against their will is also not religion.(mostly)
Second, what possible benefit is there for having these beliefs? It never really cured cancer or stopped anyone from aging.
Plus, why wouldn't you keep it a secret from everyone that would call you a nutjob?
I spent some time with a Dianetics auditor and I can actually say that I remembered a lot of stuff that I had forgotten about.
It wasn't Earth shattering life altering stuff. Just normal things we all forgot on purpose, to make ourselves feel better.
I just don't see the correlation between remembering the past and it becoming a religion of overzealous kidnappers and extortionists.
The entire underlying theory was to free yourself from repeating mistakes.
Mistakes like joining the Church of Scientology.
Mothership? Everyone know that Jesus and his pet dinosaurs wouldn't allow aliens to land here.
Perhaps using myself as an example of how harmless Dianetics is, was not the best choice.
Scientology started out in a pure form and still is today. they do not believe in any mind altering drugs. They have some great drug rehab programs. I never thought of it as a religion as much as an ideology so to say. I read Dianetics but it really didn't impress me much. Guess it's not for everyone....just like everything else.

I'd been pinched – hard – in some kind of strange lie-detector test and seen rooms where people went to be ‘purified’. I’d spent an hour subjected to a gruelling and invasive ‘personality’ test and revealed my deepest inner thoughts as if hypnotised. I’d also been invited to cross the Bridge To Total Freedom – but, in a panic, instead I found myself running away from Scientology as fast as I could – after just a day as a guest of the controversial religion.....................>>>>.................>>>>................Read more: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/new.....4.html#ixzz202DTeuuK
Katie Holmes Returns To Catholic Church Posted: 07/09/2012 1:09 pm Updated: 07/09/2012 1:17 pm
Five years after revealing that she had started to study Scientology, Katie Holmes has officially returned to the Catholic faith, registering as a parishioner at the Church of St. Francis Xavier in New York City.
“Everyone is thrilled to have Katie join us,” a member of the church's choir told me. “She has not yet attended a service, but when she does she will be welcomed with open arms.”
The church, located on 16th Street between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, is known for inclusive thinking and its welcoming of many gay and lesbian Catholics. Its mission statement indicates that the Roman Catholic Church parish “strives to be a prophetic, welcoming community, inclusive witness to the presence of Christ Jesus in our midst.” Its website proclaims that it is a respectful community, “where seekers and their questions are welcomed, where injustice is challenged, where the poor, the alienated and marginalized find a home, and where people are refreshed, reconciled and renewed.”..........................>>>>.......................>>>>.....................http://www.huffingtonpost.com/.....lar#slide=more236027
