Just seems like a house-keeping thing that should be addressed...........................then we could move on to the illegal sign placement issue......................oh oh, and maybe you could look into that movie screen-like structure on Mariaville Rd.

If you're speaking of the sign issue, rest assured, as you say it, I am going ahead. full steam I might add....................btw are the ones that you put in front of aunties last year sitting on the state right of way?

Ahhh.......I get it. Going out into the field to investigate concerns is beneath you.................I expected no less............pompous a**

If you read carefully, I was writing about the changing the # of years of the terms -- if that is something YOU think needs to be done then go ahead and take up the cause.

Also - FYI - code enforcement is NOT my job ... and again, if YOU have a concern YOU need to bring it to the town hall.

And, we will continue to put political signs up -- it is our constitutional right and a juvenile school yard bully will not stop us.

"It's not my job" is a cop out IMO

If they're placed legally I have no problem...............are you saying you're going to continue to put them up illegally? in defiance of town code?

I guess the nayboobs have never heard of Freedom of Speech which is contained in the Bill of Rights -- those are the 1st 10 Amendments to the US Constitution for the nayboobs.

This thread proves the insanity of the nayboobs who post here --- they ask a question, get a civil answer and are even told that I agree with the idea of changing the 2 year term (of Town Supervisor)  to a 4 year term -- and then they insist on launching juvenile, anti-social, cyber bullying tactics.

with this statement alone the town cops could fill the town coffers - but they choose to be the swing vote in every election to rape the town taxpayers

The campaign to eliminate illegally placed political signs has begun in earnest. I will be contacting the various parties concerned (all political committees, the town board and supervisor, code office, ethics board and RPD to name a few) very soon. I am interested in finding out what the implications would be for citizens who took it upon, themselves to remove these illegally placed signs. I realize that this not being a year when town offices are up for election, that the number of signs won't be as prolific. That should make things easier and help set a precedent for 2013. I have no plans to steal or deface the signs, merely remove the ones that are illegally placed. I'll be composing a letter to be sent to the aforementioned parties in the near future, posting it here along with the emails and phone numbers of these parties, and will ask for your help in letting them know how we feel about lawmakers flaunting the law. If we all were to contact these folks and have our friends and neighbors do likewise I think we can eliminate some of the yearly Eye Pollution.

If you've never seen this I'm reposting it:

It really doesn't matter what the terms are in rotterdam......2 or 4 years..........cause rotterdamians just keep voting in the same idiots year after year after year. Perhaps a different name.......but idiots just the same!

Don't say much for rotterdamians....huh?

Yeah for the most part I agree, and to be honest it was just another case of me, a self proclaimed "idiot", wondering out loud about something that to my logically working mind didn't seem to make sense.............oh well I'll leave that one for others.....................I need to focus my attention on an equally idiotic situation, how lawmakers are in a sense lawbreakers for illegally placing their campaign signs...............small potatoes, but still ya gotta start somewhere....

I guess it would be okay to post that a "planning board troll" supports all political candidates breaking the law....................you gonna use your trust fund to pay the fines?..............................do you even know what the code states?..................and were those signs you placed in front of aunties legally placed? ......you seemed to have conveniently skipped answering that one................there is photographic proof or their exact placement, so don't dance around the issue, did you place those signs on a public right of way? here's the specific section of the town code, since judging by your statements you apparently aren't aware of

I couldn't wait 4 years to see the Rotterdam landscape littered with plastic lawn signs.
