what you'd like to see more of and less of...

We want your input!

Help us cover your community better by letting us know what you'd like to see more of, and less of, in the paper and online.

How about more availability on-line and less pay-for-play articles?  You can make money off of the reading of the articles on-line with advertising revenue, you know, like all the other newspapers do.

How about printing the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth no matter who it may shine a bad light on.

How about asking candidates for their educational and work credentials BEFORE the election? If they were smart they would clear out all the old time pieces in the editorial department.

Back when the Gazette allowed themselves to be part of the public media, I read the Gazette every day.

Now I read the Times Union, yahoo news/local or google news.

These businesses welcome the webpage hits.

Apparently webpage hits hold no value to the Gazette advertising dept.

Asking for $150/year to read their stuff is really lame.

Charge $50/year for access to every article ever written by the Gazette and then you have a deal.

Really, I would start firing the advertisement salespeople until they could produce income capable of sustaining the business.

Come on. How much does a web server cost to operate?

I see they no longer offer Sunday only delivery too.

The paid online version is all pdf based. I have tried it and it is not user friendly.

The original Gazette.net was the best. Plain, simple, free, and easy to navigate.

I would like the see the gazette take the shackles off the reporters and let them 'earn' their keep. Let them become real journalists. Journalists who actually do 'investigating reporting'. Report the 'truth' without the bias. Throw out the fax machines and can the emails.

May I also suggest possibly hiring 'new real journalists'. The same old ones are just that.....same old...same old!!!

And lastly......I would suggest that the gazetto become independent of the political process. Refuse to be used as a political 'rag' and burn their cheerleading uniforms. They need to go back to their roots of 'real journalism' and report the 'real news' to THE PEOPLE!!

The gazetto has nothing to lose and yet everything to gain. They are after all, the only game in town.

First thing I'd get rid of is one of their salesmen, Ainini (sp?) ... horrible business man, rude and very unprofessional.

Here is one of the current stories. The Galesi Group and The Metroplex are teaming up in Rotterdam to bring in big business.

#ROTTERDAM — Building 14 at the Rotterdam Corporate Park will soon house an industry leader in construction equipment.

#The Galesi Group on Tuesday, May 29, announced ITR America has signed a lease for 43,000 square feet of space at the Rotterdam Corporate Park. The Schenectady County Metroplex Development Authority owns the building and it’s master leased to the Galesi Group. Metroplex purchased the building to redevelop the 260,000-square-foot property.

#“This new company is a great fit with our overall plans to revitalize Building 14 and continue to attract new tenants to the Rotterdam Corporate Park,” Metroplex Chair Ray Gillen said in a statement.

#ITR America is one of the largest independent suppliers of parts for construction equipment in North America, said county officials. It is headquartered in Hobart, Ind., and it has distribution and service centers at 16 locations throughout the United States and Canada.

#“Our new Rotterdam Corporate Park location will allow us to increase ITR products in the region .....
